i didnt watch a lot of anime this year and it was mostly because i felt a need to watch all of the popular shows, even though they bored me. if ive learned anything this year, its if you dont like watching just drop it. (you can always come back later)

Saint Seiya is an important part in the history of the "battle shounen". It evokes that nostalgia feeling, especially if you are from Latin America.

With that said, I don't think it aged that well. The story isn't great, it has many of the genre tropes that work many times against it.
The beginning is weak, the dark knights being probably the worst part of the show(they made great action figures tho). Twelve houses arc is where it shines the brightest, some memorable moments there.

Idk if you should drop it or not. Do you have the patience to sit through 114 episodes of some great episodes, many average and bad ones? You can always skip some parts/episodes just to get the feel of the show.

No. Saint Seiya is a classic, and one of the best classic Shonen anime Japan has to offer. There is some filler in the Sanctuary Arc you should skip, but other than that watch.

well it didn't age well at all, it's mostly something very nostalgic for a lot of people
however if you want to have culture from the 80/90's then it's a must watch
I'd say it's a good watch just for one's culture but hey don't force yourself too much

A must-watch for anyone who wants to broaden their battle shounen anime culture.

I'd recommend Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas. I think you'll have more fun with that.

if it bores you and you don't enjoy it, there's no reason for you to continue watching the anime

Saint seiya does get good, however with most shounen that's generally about halfway through the anime. So look at the total amount of episodes and then watch at least half way before dropping the anime. A tip I'd recommend actually looking up some fight scenes on youtube just so you get an idea if you will like it since the fight scenes are the best moments. With saint seiya the characters and the fights are what most people like about it, pretty good characters however i'd say it did not age well but you have to watch the original saint seiya not the remakes since they butchered and ruined the new saint seiya series like omega which was appalling. So watch the original. Personally I got pretty bored with saint seiya which is why I put it on hold and never finished it but I do plan on finishing watching it when I have the motivation to it's an anime that you really gotta just be in the mood to watch

Or you can watch a saint seiya movie to start you off somewhere then you'll be more invested in the series if you like the movies

The beginning is pretty rough. The first arc isn't that good anway and there is also tons of crappy fillers in it too (that you can't really skip, because it's too engrained in the main story). It's pretty entertaining from Sanctuary arc onward, but it's still not quite on Yu Yu Hakusho level, if you ask me.
