anybody know an anime with a family like the happy kawamoto family from march comes in like a lion? im basically looking for a show with a happy family that imediately make you smile when they show up on screen. if there is a show out there with a romance element it would be even better. thankss

As far as having a Kawamoto-like surrogate family, there's not a lot I can think of that have the exact charm.

Somali and the Forest Spirit - the two characters are just a pair of misfits, who without each other would have been lonely, but now travel around as if they are father and daughter. Does not have romance.

Tonikaku Kawaii -airing this season- doesnt really have the surrogate/adoptive family aspect; but is a romance anime that gives wholesome warm fuzzies all the way through. Similar vibes as the Kawamoto family scenes.

Fruits Basket (2019) is the closest thing I can think of to your explanation. It's about a homeless female student who befriends someone named Yuki who lives close to her. The person finds out she's homeless and offers hospitality to her and it kind of goes on from there.

There's a nice family in https://myanimelist.net/anime/31376/Flying_Witch.

The movie Summer Wars has one of my favorite portrayals of an extended Japanese family.

Mana's family in https://myanimelist.net/anime/37140/Gegege_no_Kitarou_2018 is pretty nice. We don't see them all that often though.

Families rarely appear in anime, and the ones that do often have issues like Rei's family in 3-gatsu. The Sohma family in Fruits Basket has many conflicts and in-fighting. I don't see them as much like the Kawamotos.
