I think I was 5, it was 7(?) am in the morning, my parents were still asleep, Captain Tsubasa was on TV. That's my oldest memory of anime whether it was the first or not. I only came to know what anime was 10 years ago when I was 18 tho, I don't exactly remember how but if I'm not wrong one of my friends at the time told me about this "scanlation" of Naruto, which I was a die hard fan of at the time, that tells future events that still didn't occur in the "cartoon" that he heard about from his friend who reads it which I think is how I discovered manga and thus, anime too. Although I no longer like Naruto, thanks to it's fandom, but hadn't been for it I probably would've quit watching "cartoons" long ago and never knew what anime and manga were.

did someone say gachi? BOY♂NEXT♂DOOR.

I dont know. It all started with lots of hentai, then stopped and in 2018 I just started to watch anime more frequently. First time reading manga this week because I wanted to see how the manga Arifureta was compared to the anime adaptation. I like it... I'll definitely read more manga.

I just fell in love with how daring and bold it is and how willing it is to tackle really controversial and intriguing topics. I’m also a huge fan of animation in general and find all the different styles that anime is able to cover to be quite fascinating. Furthermore, I like a lot of the tropes that over saturate the medium; with some exceptions of course.

When i was 8, my mom bought me Nausicaa of the valley of the wind before young me knew it was anime, and i loved it. Then later i watched Dragon Ball on tv and this is what officially made me like anime.

But it all started with Nausicaa.

I was browsing Netflix in 2014 while I was bored and saw Fate/Zero recommended to me. The cover art looked nice and the blurb was interesting so I watched the first episode. The first scene was of a guy regretfully telling his wife that he would be the cause of her death and the wife was perfectly fine with it, and that hooked me immediately. Then we got scenes of people conspiring to manipulate some sort of tournament, and then you had people preparing. Then everybody summons their servants at the end and it was HYPE! I binged the whole series in a couple days. After that, I then watch FMA:B, and then Seirei no Moribito, and then Death Note.
