I debated announcing this but I felt like as a news twitter it'd be remiss not to. According to a statement released by Shougakukan a male employee in his 30's tested positive for Covid. So starting tomorrow until April 10th, the entire company is closed. The employee had a fever on the 16th of March and stopped going to work on the 17th where afterward he was found to be positive for Covid. Shougakukan is currently taking measures to ensure the virus does not spread. They have:
-Checked the history of those the employee has interacted with in the time span of infection
-Closed the floor they've worked on and sterilized it
-Advised all in contact with the employee to work at home
-and Instituted testing for all employees.
This will undoubtedly have an effect on WSS and the other magazines, but as of right now nothing has been said on that front. I'll report more as I find it. This is unfortunate news, and we here at WSStalkback hope for a speedy recovery for everyone.

"On April 6, some of our employees were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus. One of them had a fever on March 26 and consulted a medical institution, refraining from working from that day on. On April 3, he was diagnosed positive of coronavirus.In response to this, we are taking the following measures while cooperating with administrative organizations:
-Temporary closing and disinfection of the floor in which infected people worked.
-Checking work's history of infected people and identifying close contacts.
-Thorough observation and reporting of health of close contacts.
We have been working from home on a company-wide basis since long. We will continue to prioritize the safety of stakeholders and prevent further transmission of the virus by taking appropriate measures.
Thank you for your understanding"

Special thanks to
@DoctorDazza
for explaining the situation. So as of now while Shougakukan did have a case of covid in their offices, it was contained to one floor which was then sterilized. The company has resumed normal activity and is open at this time.
thank for pointing it out.
