I can't tell what was it... maybe Dragon ball like everybody, maybe Shurato, Yu Yu Hakusho, Sailor Moon... but I still remember how good it was!

The first ever anime I watched is tough to answer.
I think it was pokemon when it was airing in Cartoon Network.

The first one that I started watching after knowing what anime was and that I have counted since I have thinking mentality was Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and I watched on youtube haha.

It depends, its either Pokemon B/W or Beyblade if we include stuff on Cartoon Network, or Disastrous Life of Saiki K. which was shown by a friend. Then JJBA if we are talking about what actually got me into anime

I think it was either InuYasha, Detective Conan or Ranma 1/2, at least those were the first shows I conciously knew were anime. I watched them on tv when I was a child, we had a special timeslot reserved for anime on one of the programs (so it's possible it was one of the other shows running at that time but those were the three I remember most vividly). Damn, good times.

Probably Doraemon or Anpanman. When I was a baby I would watch them on tv, whenever we visited my family in Japan. Then when I was a bit older I watched the entire DB series.

Whatever show on was free TV in my childhood days.
I can these remember from the top of my head:

- Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z
- Slam Dunk
- Yuu Yuu Hakusho (titled here as "Ghost Fighter")
- Flame of Recca
- Voltes V
- Daimos
- Pokemon

And the anime that defined my childhood:
- Digimon Adventure

Spirited Away. My dad showed it to me and my sister when we were really young. I will always prefer the English Sub because of that. It brings back really happy memories.

I doubt Dungeons and dragons, thundercats, voltron (old and new), robotec wont really fall under the anime category per se...that would leave me with SAO mid 2018... Yes i still enjoy it and whats i actually loved more was SAOA... THE ABRIDGED BY SOMETHING WITTY ENTERTAINMENT! Now that is indeed a masterpiece!

But i suppose i stuck with it because of Steins gate... FMAB and so many more!
Loved a change of pace with Non non Biyori and discovered hidden gems like Bungou stary dogs, Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen, Double decker!!... and many many many more!
AND YES ALL IN DUB EXCEPT NON NON BIYORI! AND REPEAT

My first experience was watching Pokemon (Original, Orange Islands, Diamond/Pearl) & Dragon Ball Z as a really young kid unaware of the existence of anime.

However, my first experience, where I properly fell in love with anime and was to some extent aware of it's existence (the specific "Anime-esque style"), was with Spirited Away. My teacher showed our glass in grade 7 for the lesson before our Christmas term break. It provided me a certain unexplainable charm and magic that was unique and foreign yet simultaneously so very familiar . That feeling has continued to stick with me since.

^_^

Edit: I realise that this is my second post. However, I deleted my previous one as I kind of wanted to elaborate and convey the importance of the film above. Soz.

Besides the obvious mainstream, Pokemon, Yugioh, Dragon Ball Z, etc...

I think I actually started off watching 4 anime at the same time. Those being:
Sword Art Online, No Game No Life, Kaichou wa Maid-Sama, and Shakugan no Shana.
Watched these on an old website called watchcartoonsonline.com back when I was in elementary school hahah...
