I find ice skating, like Olympic style, to be just breathtaking a lot of the time. And I could watch Rodney Mullen do flatland board tricks all day long. I don't know if I hate any sport. I don't care for basketball, and for some reason ice hockey, which is weird because I do like curling, and the aforementioned figure skating. Damn puck moves too fast for me I guess. |

| totally off the wall question here: Do you guys have a 'moment' in anime that you think is just the coolest thing? Like maybe a intro or end theme that has great character or personality to you? Perhaps a moment when the heroes of the story triumph over the bad guys? I'm talking like a 'hasta la vista' moment or 'I'll be back' to use Terminator movies, things like that? I have one that makes me squeal with delight each time I see it. It's in the first ending song of season 2 of K-On!! The song called 'Listen' I believe. When Mio leans forward and winks, I just lose my shit at how awesome it is every single time. Am I weird? No wait, don't answer that! But seriously, yall got a moment that you just love? A 'THIS IS SPARTA' moment? Tell me about it! |

| I think the animation for "Don't say lazy" (K-ON Season 1 ED) is just so wholesome. As for coolest moments, there's one part in Zeta Gundam where Kamille descends into Jaburo and a bunch of Titans follow suit, but one of them gets so caught up with fighting Kamille that he deploys his parachute thingy too late, which causes him to fall below Kamille, who then manouvers towards him and cuts the parachute. Guy descends completely unprotected into the atmosphere and desintegrates, and Kamille didn't even have to attack him. Just cut his parachute. I thought that was pretty cool. Also, I think Kamille says something like "You would've won if you had better judgement." Such educated sass. |

| I could name so many K-On moments it's not even funny. In 'Lazy' when Yui is looking at the camera and no one else is, cracks me up. In 'No Thank You' when it's Azusa's turn and she's got that cute look, just awesome. The 'we don't need no stinking English!' or the 'fun things are fun!' episodes. Or or or the episode where Sawako goes to the wedding and jumps on stage and tears it up on her guitar. Good times. I gotta check this show you mentioned, big D, because educated sass is the best kind! |

| I was watching anime (WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED???) and I noticed something I wanted to ask about, to those of you who aren't backwater rednecks like me; the manner in which a culture knocks, is it different around the world? In Heaven (Texas) we knock with our knuckles forward, in a motion where the backs of our hands are pointed towards our faces, I guess you could say, knuckles first. I've noticed in anime almost all the characters in numerous different series all knock with the same pattern, using the back of the hand, palm pointing toward the face, using a tapping motion. It's hard to describe, okay? But I'm sure you guys can picture it right? Is it a cultural thing, or a personal bias for each of us? Maybe some people exclusively use the side of their fist in a pounding motion? It makes me think of politeness, for some reason. Using the backhanded anime motion seems like it would produce a lighter 'knock', which could be seen as more polite I guess, than the local 'banging' that is used locally, which seems less polite, and more direct. And yes, I'm obsessed with etiquette and protocol. Thoughts? |

| I used to have eyelids, but I ripped them off after @Darvallas made me self conscious about blinking! maybe it's a gender thing? I tend to watch 'girly' and/or yuri-ish content, and so the majority of knockers I've seen are female, so I wonder if that plays into it?
