Not sure but still:
Psycho-Pass
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
Vinland Saga
Shinsekai Yori
Zankyou no terror
Carole and Tuesday (still ongoing, but the plot went kinda very political, even though at one glance it's about music)

I would reccomend many of the manga with the story written by Kawaguchi Kaiji, unfortunately its very difficult to come across completely trans/scanlated works of his.

idk, i've never watched. But manga is pretty solid, very politics based and action i would say is a subplot

EDIT: ALSO, https://myanimelist.net/manga/1320/The_Ravages_of_Time?q=ravages is politics based but is multi protagonist if you're fine with that. It's Kingdom but more realistic

I read Confession and Seizon life which were drawn by him and really loved them!

fuck, how i could've forgot:
https://myanimelist.net/manga/25855/Gunka_no_Baltzar is very good. The only problem is it's release time. Volume get released every 5-6 months iirc and translations isn't consistent. So that sucks

I tried reading this one, got really bored of it, the story is really slow and none of the characters interested me (maybe besides that prince?)

you must check out asian fantasy novels aka light and web novels if your into monarch politics. There's an abundance of novels which focuses on that kind of politics.

Highest rated web novel at this moment. I haven't read it myself but my friend told me it's like death note. Full of political battle of wits.
