| Gandr, as in the curse that causes illness/the flu, is common and Shirou knows about that one, yeah. Gandr as an offensive damage-dealing magic bullets isn't common and they're what we've seen Rin and Luvia use. They can skip the chanting and boost its power solely due to their Crests. Waver can't fire a Gandr on the level of Rin and Luvia, due to how crappy of a mage he is. Therefore, I can only assume that what Waver fired isn't Gandr. |

You really can't expect a smoker with barely any experience in combat ( and training ) to fight. That's why he's a caster, and a strategist. The FGO Protag uses it via a Mystic Code and it should already be obvious enough that the spell is widespread when a Japanese family can use it despite it's Scandinavian origin. Fate Shirou can do stuff on his own just by taking advice. When Shirou uses Install(for a comparison to Pseudo Servants) you think "Yeah I can imagine him doing that" since even his weakest has some feats. Waver when compared to Waver with Zhuge's powers is a clown. Dont hate the guy.But he struggles even with basic shit. |
| I haven't seen the episode yet, but on topic of Waver using Gandr.. Yeah he shouldn't be able to. IIRC it's explicitly stated that Waver's Magic Circuits are on par with Fujimaru's and Fujimaru needs a Mystic Code boosting his performance to be able to cast a single Gandr. |

The exclusivity I meant was the destructive effect that was possible due to the Crests. I wouldn't be surprised if other people use it, but this particular potency is tied to the crests, which is why Waver can't replicate it with his own crappy magic. |

| Waver just casually spilling the beans about Rhongo felt super wierd. It kinda took the wind out of the sails for the actual activation later on in the episode, even if it was needed for him to solve the mystery. Reina Ueda's Rhongomyniad screaming made up for it though. She goes HARD whenever Gray uses Rhongo. Also lol at Waver hugging his daughteru after she defeated everything. Their relationship is the best. |
