| @Albusangy without going too deep into spoilers, I shall just say that the series greatest strength was the mystery behind everything, when that was revealed they lost a major part of what made it so engaging. But instead of then jumping into one last confrontation and wrapping everything up, they instead set up a whole new dragged out lengthy arc, where for over a years worth of chapter releases, we didn't even get to follow the characters we had grown to love. The most important thing when doing a timeskip arc is to reintroduce us to the cast and where they are now, almost as if they are entirely new characters. But we dont get that, and even when they finally do bring back the old cast, they do so with a massive slap in the face, killing off a certain character with almost no respect. If you are going to kill off characters, thats fine, heck I even welcome it, but it needs to be done so that it actually has an emotional impact, have the characters mourn, have the one who is dying have some kind of resolution, just give us something to care about. Anything. Please don'tget me wrong though, I don't hate the series, it's because I am a fan that I get so passionately upset over the serious drop of quality in the writing in AoTs last arc. |

| Hi everyone, I'm Harley, 24 and from Northamptonshire. I enjoy most genres but really big fan of mecha shows. Also a big fan of Japanese games too, most recently I've been getting into Disgaea (almost finished a 100% clear playthrough of Disgaea 1), I play mainly JRPGs and VNs but often a lot of other stuff too. Also a big fan of Japanese artbooks too, currently building up a collection of physical and digital artbooks and I just can't get enough of them. Too many artists whose art styles I just adore. Light novels and manga I also read a lot of. It seems that when I'm more stable in my career and can afford it I'll probably end up unable to stop myself from getting enough Japanese stuff that I'd need a warehouse for it all xD Hoping to go and be an art teacher in Japan for a couple of years or so eventually, though it would probably be far too tempting not to ship half the country back with me at the end of it. I shall also be joining the Discord server, looking forward to speaking to more people with similar interests :) |
