* UPDATE: This theory apparently has been thrown out the window based off episode 6

There still seems to be confusion from last week's episode and I felt like addressing some things. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’ll say this straight: The bird demon was the one who give Hyakkimaru his leg back

Let me address some possible questions and answers as to why I believe it is the bird demon:

1) Q:The Priest killed the demon, not Hyakkimaru, so how did he get his voice back?
A: This is true, but I don't believe Hyakkimaru doesn't necessarily need to finish the demon by himself. As long as the demon that carries the part they took from him is killed, he can regain it back.

2) Q: How could we tell he got his voice back?
A: Well there were several hints:
After the bird demon was killed back in episode 5, you can see Hyakkimaru in shock when Dororo asks him what was wrong with him - the same way he acts when he regains something back. There were some cases where Hyakkimaru tried to speak such as when he tried moving his mouth during the scene with Mio singing to him and Dororo. If you notice at the end of every episode after the ending song, it shows the demon that have been killed for every episode, in this case the bird demon, its name "Yocho".

3) Q: Okay, what about Hyakkimaru's leg?
A: So about his leg, it was taken from the demon as we saw at the end of episode 5. Let's call it the beetle demon or whatever you want to name it. Hyakkimaru right after screams in pain. As previously stated, I believe he got his voice back from the bird demon so he already had his voice awhile back, just didn't know how to use it. Losing his leg triggered a normal instinct, to scream, because of the pain he felt.

Please feel free to share your thoughts

Don't forget this was the demon Hyakkimaru and the Priest fought right in the beginning of episode 5.

Let me address some possible questions:

1) Q:The Priest killed the demon, not Hyakkimaru, so how did he get his voice back?
A: This is true, but I don't believe Hyakkimaru doesn't necessarily need to finish the demon by himself. As long as the demon that carries the part they took from him is killed, he can regain it back.

A: So about his leg, it was taken from the demon as we saw at the end of episode 5. Let's call it the beetle demon or whatever you want to name it. Hyakkimaru right after screams in pain. No, losing his leg was not an exchange for his voice. As previously stated, he got his voice back from the bird demon so he already had his voice awhile back, just didn't know how to use it. Losing his leg triggered a normal instinct, to scream, because of the pain he felt.

Now this episode, episode 6 Hyakkimaru, was finally able to finish off the so named beetle demon and although not completely shown once the demon was defeated, we see that he did regain his leg from the demon as he is walking back with Dororo.

We know when Hyakkimaru kills a demon, he regains a body part, however in this case, he lost his leg midfight and once he killed the demon, he got it back. How is this possible? Couldn't the demon give him back something else? What if Hyakkimaru had not lost his leg in the beginning, could he of gotten something other than his leg back? So many questions. Feel free to share thoughts and questions. I hope the rest makes sense now.
what about the statues. last episode a statue broke also??

For god's sake, don't quote the whole thing while replying to a post with pictures, it takes unnecessarily big space.
Leaving that aside, op is clearly wrong since it was clearly shown in the flashback episode 3 how Hyakkimaru got his right leg back after he killed the first ever demon, Kamaitachi . Sometimes I wonder if people watch this show with their brain turned off.

Sorry I took out the images. Yes, he did regain his right leg back but then he lost it in episode 5, then gets it back after killing the demon in this weeks episode, 6 so I'm not wrong
