Yo...I'm wondering if its worth it, checked out some episodes and the fact that its 1080hd is pretty dope, looks good, very good. Also love the subtitle options. Hard to find good anime streaming sites these days...

Anyone have a membership and can speak for if its worth it? Gonna try out a free trial of it soon, but wondering before I make any purchases. Can you download the episodes? (so won't get fuked by internet connections)?

I'd say it depends on how much you really expect to watch. My roommate just got VRV Premium and he loves it, and he's watching anime with every minute of free time he gets.
Your "plan to watch" list is full of fantastic anime, and if you have the time, I say give it a shot. Watching ads sucks.

I have a membership. I don't watch anime that much nowadays, but when I do have a day to binge crunchy roll is my go to. No ads and a huge variety, plus the graphics and already sub and some dubbed are great. The ~ $7 a month is completely worth it.

I haven't downloaded episodes, I typically just use internet, so I don't have the answer but that's an easy google search for you

Crunchyroll doesn't have a download option. No idea about VRV.

dang, a download option would have got me sold. Ima try out the trial, the other features seem dope. And yes I do plan to watch pretty frequently, but will need to start working again to pay off that 7$ a month...which sux

Thanks for the responses, (if anyone does know of download options other sites may offer do lmk tho!)

a few notes:
1. some series may not be available if you are not in the US.
this is due to limitations in the contract Crunchyroll has with the anime companies.
you can check which series are available by checking
https://help.crunchyroll.com/hc/en-us/articles/204878816-Which-shows-are-available-in-my-country-

2. download option is available through VRV, but only if you live in the US.
you need to link your premium to VRV and use the VRV app to download the episodes.

3. there has been plenty of complaints regarding the subtitles - the video player is buggy and will sometimes display subtitle in the wrong language.

4. if you use paypall or iTunes, you will need to cancel premium through paypall and Apple, respectively. if you only cancel through the site, you will still be charged. if you dont want to get a paid subscription, cancel at least 1 day in advance - the system lags when processing that request.
if that doesnt work and you still get charged, send a ticket to support and do not use your paid premium (if you want a refund)
You can buy lossless digital music from your favorite Japanese artists on https://ototoy.jp/.
The songs are all DRM-free and you can re-download your purchased albums as you wish.
Show your support to your favorite artist if you can!
ps. if you are looking for Japanese albums, you have to search it in Japanese (not romaji). Just copy and paste the name.

My roommate just told me that there is a way to download shows off of VRV. I haven't looked into it too much, but from what I've seen, it seems possible.

just know that legal streaming sites do not have all the anime out there on the internet unlike illegal streaming sites

but if you want to financially support the anime industry then CrunchyRoll is one of the cheapest way to do that, the other cheap way is just to watch anime on your TV and see the TV commercials for it there

tbh id say get it, im about to and its worth it since it's both a legal site to watch the anime, and profits go to the industry itself. better than watching some shit quality anime on kissanime or something

To me it seems cheap, I guess, yes. But I am not a member myself since almost all anime are region restricted in my country, so Crunchyroll only offers me like 30 anime and most of them are children's shows that I've never heard about.

I'm currently on my third free two-week Premium trial. I'm going to keep doing this with every single credit card my four-member family owns. Oh, and until my VPN expires. That'll probably be the limiting factor actually.

No ads is great. But they don't have some shows I really want to watch. Like Code Geass. and Love Live Sunshine S1... lol

OMG thank you... except no English subs D: my Japanese is way too shitty it'd probably take me about 40-60 minutes to watch and understand a 20-minute episode.

No, I think it's bad form to charge people extra for the lack of ads.

Science has proven that ads are not shit, through adblocker.

No, absolutely not. Pretty much any illegal site is better. Or you could just Torrent.
