looking for slice of life anime and anime that makes viewers suffer

preferably series that can get the viewer hooked on the first or second episode too, but im mainly looking for slice of life or comedy anime (osomatsu san or umaru chan) and anime where the writers probably sat down and discussed how they can make the viewers suffer and cry (i.e tokyo ghoul)
