In both series, a single male adult opts to take on the responsibility of looking after a child (children) due to a force of circumstances. Both are warm and atypical anime series. Usagi Drop has a MAL average of 8.65, which should say it all really whilst Papa etc. is let down by its dubious name, which I am sure will detract viewers away from a really lovely show. Both recommended!

it's not THAT similar, it's just that both anime has a guy that's, for Astarotte IS a father, and in papa is just kinda like a father, both taking care of a child. Astarotte isn't a story about that though, papa is more of a family story, and Astarotte is more of a romance stuff

Both involve story lines where two guys take care of young girl/girls while juggling their love lives.

Both shows feature a young male protagonist trying his best to take care of young children. They both focus heavily on character development, and both try to paint a nuanced picture of the social interaction between the two/the four of them.

In both, the protagonist adopts one or more orphan girls despite not having any experience as a father.

Same feeling of just straight warm and fuzzy feeling. Cute characters and same fatherly figure. Bright and warm colours and deep story to top it off.

Both have characters that became orphans and have to take care of children

Danchigai reminds me of Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai! because of the sibling relationships. The way the characters interact in both shows are similar. Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai! being much more fleshed out with more of a story line. Danchigai being more comedy based and a short.

In both series the MC takes an older brother/guardian type role for a cute girl(s). There is a focus on overcoming obstacles as a family and a light sense uncle/bro-con (crush) in both also.

Simmilar cercumstance Main guy is forced into a position to look after a small group of girls.

Both are very similar involving younger girls. One of whom looks and is voiced by the same VA as Rin from Kodomo no Jikan. Also both are guilty pleasure level =P

Essentially the same premise. Male MC takes care of young children. If you watched one, you'd love the other!

Both shows where an older/adult character has to take care of a group of young kids.

Papa has many light (girly) feels. Rainbow has many hard (manly) feels.

Same slice of life story, that tells about "kazoku" dan the meaning. This story has more light drama than clannad. But all is good story. I recommend it if you like clannad very much..

Features the rehabilitation of emotionally stricken young girls by a main character who will be relatable to most the viewership (Younger males with little experience when it comes to taking care of others). You might get some fanservice, to the dismay of some who might find it tasteless, or the joy of others (probably subconsciously). Ultimately both shows allow the viewer in on a power dynamic, having cute anime girls have to rely on someone relatable. It can be wholesome... or problematic. It's up to you.

Both of these shows have a similar sense of heart and purpose, they both show families trying to come together and they also have a heavy focus on jokes and gags as well to keep it light.

They are both very care free and funny anime. They have very dynamic characters and both very fun to watch; both are filled with moments that just make you smile.

They both pseudo-harem anime with three little girls and a mature girl around MC They both have a very responsible and considerate MC helping out the girls They both focus on the predicament of the characters in everyday life, but in a very heartwarming manner

Both are about three sisters with parents missing, family happiness, sisters and brothers, boys and girls. Then connection seemingly ends, with "Minami-ke" being mostly a school comedy, much lighter and cleaner, but the two are somehow congenial.

Orphaned girls adjust to their new lifestyles at new homes and learn how to live independently.

both of this anime kinda tells the story of the people who has a hard life, because of the family. in Iroha, the main character still has her grandmother around, while in Papa the main character has barely any family member to help him much, but in both anime, the main characters worked very hard

Male character ends up adopting and raising cute young girls. Has brother x sister relations instead of uncle x niece relations.

Both feature a male family member who gets put in a setting in which he never met the relatives before and it just so happens that said relatives are beautiful girls of differing age with whom he develops strong feelings for. Main difference is he is not related by blood and he is their uncle, whereas in Baby Princess, the male character is a blood brother.

Both These anime have a a single male student living in a cheap apartment who suddenly have to take care of a young girl/girls. The also have in common that both have allot of nice persons around willing to help out with taking care of the girls. In both cases the male students also have to watch there money and end up working allot and in both cases they know someone who helps them get good paying jobs easily. What's more is that both of them have a nice serious story line with a good sense of humour and some sexy misunderstandings.

Similar animation style, indifferent characters. Segawa is much more annoying then kodaka.

both of series are about a single male playing the role of parents and taking care of little kids .

Whilst the storylines of these two anime are super different, the overall feel of the anime are very similar. "Listen to me, girls. I am your Father!" is a heart-warming story of how a young college student becomes the interim father to three young (and super adorable!) girls and the sense of togetherness that develops from living together as a family. Toradora is about a boy who sort of decides to take care of another girl (who wants to be taken care of, but is really aggressive towards him). Both these anime take time to develop deeper connections between the characters by forcing them to  read more

I have nothing to say except i have given my personal rating of 8 for "Udon no Kuni no Kiniro Kemari" and 9 for "Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai". They are both very good anime to refresh your mind and to enjoy with your family. So plz watch them and enjoy.
