Leon "You haven't seen me until today because I just arrived today to the institute, I arrived this morning and decided to check out the garden while I waited for my luggage to arrive and there is were I met you" he recalled the events of the day while resting his arms on the table. Oh, there are two events going around. One is a Treasure Hunt and the other is an Obstacle Course. I've sign up to the first one, but I have not heard when would it start. The second one is more of teams, I have only met one person. It requiers 4 to start." She hesitated, but finally said "Would you like to participate with me? | Naomi Path @-Yamato- @Redptolemy Naomi would lead Yuuto and Freya to the cafe they may have passed before. Upon entering the small establishment, she would look around a bit in awe as she liked the colorful scenery. It wouldn't be long before a server would come over to them and offer to take them to a table, Naomi would nod hesitately to the server before the man would lead the too an empty booth. Sitting down Naomi would wait for the other two to sit before picking up one of the menus and looking at what she would want to get. "hehe I'm glad we could stop for bite to eat, what kind of food do you two typically eat? I hope they have some good cakes here." she would say with a smile as her ears twitched in delight. |

Leon I'm not really one for events... maybe it wouldn't hurt giving it a shot Leon took some time pondering whether or not he should join Caylee on this event she mentioned but before he could decide on it Caylee stood up and bowed. "Ah, see you around..." he had a good time chatting with Caylee so now that she had left it felt quiet. Yuuto Kazegaya 悠翔 風早 Arriving at the outside cafe for the very first time, Yuuto gazed at the tables and groups of customers admiring the shop and it's cozy atmosphere. The place seemed to be relatively popular as people where coming and going with satisfied looks. A server came up to the three of them guiding them to a free table, taking a seat after Naomi Yuuto grabbed two menu's handing one over to Freya "Here you go" and opening the other one up to check out the dishes. "I'm usually fine eating anything that's tasty, though I do have a preference for meat." as he finished his sentence Yuuto's stomach growled loudly once more, it seemed that talking about food had once more reminded his body how hungry he was. Feeling a bit embarrassed Yuuto covered his face with the menu and quickly spoke, "The cakes look really good!" @Redptolemy @Shitsuji-Carty |

| Freya Vanir The place was quaint, at least by Freya's standards. It didn't surprise her how busy it was since the campus was crowded nearly everywhere. Part of her mind wondered whether the school's magical inclination would be reflected in the cafe. Maybe something more mundane would be better though. Freya followed her new friends to their table where they all cowered the menu for their favorites. "Something decadent and light would be nice..." her voice trailed off as she took note of all the items that piqued her interest. "A parfait maybe? Or one of the cream pastries. | Naomi Path @-Yamato- @Redptolemy After a server would lead them to a table, Naomi would be the first to sit down and quickly take a look at the menu before asking the others what they might like. Yuuto would say his preference lied with something meaty, but at the thought of everyone else talking about cakes made his stomach growl again nonetheless. He would attempt to hide his embarrassed face behind his menu as he commented on the cakes. Naomi was about to say something when Freya spoke up about her tastes as well, looking for something decadent and light, was it the sort of thing she normally ate? nevertheless the woman would point out a parfait before suggesting the idea of splitting a cake between the three of them. Naomi would think for a moment before agreeing and putting her menu down as well. "sure that sounds like a good idea, did you have any certain kind in mind? Maybe a cheesecake to get the best of both worlds?" she would add to the conversation before lightly brushing her hair to the side of her face. |

Yuuto Kazegaya 悠翔 風早 Freya's suggestion made it seem as if she didn't eat much or didn't usually have heavy meals plus her small frame gave off that image as well. Even though Yuuto was feeling hungry the idea of sharing a cake with the two wasn't an unpleasant one, he didn't really eat much cakes so he didn't know what would be a good choice, "You two can decide whichever you prefer, I'm not really picky" Yuuto glanced once more at the menu checking for drinks before closing it and placing it on the table waiting for Freya and Naomi to come to a decision. Taking off his hat, Yuuto placed it ontop of his bags and kept them close to his seat just in case, after all he's learned through his travels to stay alert with your surroundings and your belongings, not that he'd like to admit it but he's had some bad experiences before with bag snatchers and the such. @RedPtolemy @Shitsuji-Carty |
| Freya Vanir It didn't take much longer for a waiter to arrive at the table ready to take their order. When he gestured towards her she spoke clearly: "I'll be having the strawberry parfait, oh and the banana one too. I'll also have a chocolate Eclair, and how about a Raspberry cheesecake for the table." She paused for a second as if considering more items to order before closing the menu with a satisfied grin. Freya would wait for her companions to take their turns before steering the conversation away from food. "This place is pretty extraordinary isn't it? Back home anyone spouting anything about magic would look like a lunatic." It was true that some places in the world were less inclined to supernatural incidents, or maybe they just didn't want to believe. When the server arrived to take their order, Freya was the first to quickly speak up about what she wanted, getting a few for herself before ordering one for the table as well. "yeah a rasberry cheesecake sounds great, and could I also get a cup of coffee." she would say before putting her menu down and waiting for Yuto to order last before the conversation would move on. When Freya would mention the difference in people's deposition towards magic, Naomi couldn't help but nod her head to agree. "it is, it really is, I always hated some of the looks I would get from people when they found out I was different." she would add curious if both of their stories were similar to hers |

| Freya Vanir Yuuto's words struck a chord with Freya. It was during her own travels this past year that she began to understand the world's ties with supernatural forces. Often, she would be responsible for severing those. "Just a different climate I guess..." Freya said to herself, loudly. She had tried questioning the booming voice about magic on many occasions, but the response would always be too vague to satisfy her. The only topic she could reliably learn anything about was her own power. She would then turn to Naomi. "Right? It's nice to get away from all of that isn't it? Maybe one day I'll be able to go back and face it with my head held high!" For a moment she flashed a wide grin to Naomi finding it hard to keep her excitement in check. She would request a table for two and eventually they got what they wanted. Tony would nod to agree with her "yeah its the best as long as the weather is good too. oh yeah there it issss-" he would say as he stumbled a little as she suddenly grabbed his hand and pulled him along. Once they had their seats and menu's Aby was quick to comment on the different types of food they had. He would comment that he didn't share the same kind of experiences the other two did which made Naomi raise her eyebrow a little. "eh lucky you, i woulda thought people would be intolorant all over, but i guess that would just be me assuming. but enough about that I'm a lot more curious to hear about your guy's adventures if you've spent time traveling. This is actually my first time out of my home town, but I'd love to do the same Freya." she would add after the other two had finished speaking, she noticed a grin from Freya, Naomi naturally smiled back as she eagerly waited to hear the tales of their exploits. |

Oh, though now that I remember, there were some really rude merchants here and there, I thought they were just plain rude but it might've been that intolerance you speak of." it seemed like Freya and Naomi had very different experiences in their hometowns related to their appearance or practice, even if he didn't completely understand how it was for them he got the feeling it wasn't something pleasant. Naomi seemingly wanting to change the subject asked about their travels and any adventures they might've had. "Oh so this is your first time travelling, well there are many stories like that one time I got lost in a forest for five days or that other time I had stumble upon some weird cultist group" |

It wasn't her supernatural affinity that earned her unusual glances from those near her, but rather the her name and her Father's reputation. When she left her hometown, she also assumed a different name. It was the single best decision she had ever made. "I've had my fair share of run-ins with cultists myself, now that I think about it." She waited Yuuto to finish speaking before jumping in. "Cemeteries and haunted houses too." One of the patterns that Freya had noticed quickly was how people would fear that which they cannot understand. She took it upon herself to seek out this fear, and rend it into nothing. She asked what he was afraid of and he told her it was cats. Tony was a bit embarrassed to admit the fact but Aby seemed more interested in teasing him more. She said she understood it a bit but then asked what if she was a cat girl. The thought would bring a look of disgust on Tony's face that he would quickly try to stifle. "a cat girl? ahaha don't mess with me like that." he would say more lifeless than before. Naomi Path @-Yamato- @Redptolemy Yuuto would quickly comment on what Freya had said before recalling some times when people were rude to him for no reason. Though neither of them seemed to mind when Naomi tried to change the topic to something else, she was curious about their travels as it was the first time she had ever left her home town. Naomi's eyes would widen as they both mentioned some run ins with some cultists "what really? that sounds so cool, but also really dangerous haha, what did you do after running into them?" "I don't know about calling it cool but those people really are weirdos, I had stumbled on them at night when I thought their fire was a camp spot but as it turns out everyone there was dressed up with the same clothes surrounding the fireplace." | Freya Vanir Freya wait for Yuuto to finish his though, chuckling a bit at his story. "Dangerous... they're more of a pest than anything. Cultists are just people seeking power beyond their reach." Naomi's keen ears might have been able to pick up a hint of resignation in her voice. "I was passing though a small town called Gildenstock and overheard a merchant talking about a band of hooligans attempting to evoke spirits in the woods just outside of town. I offered to look into the matter in exchange for some rations and a place to stay the night." Freya paused a moment when she saw their order arriving. Once everyone had theirs, she would cut herself a slice of cake and continue. "Turns out some kids got their hands on an old compendium and were fooling around with it. Of course I confiscated the dusty book, and dragged the lot of them back to town to apologize for the trouble they made." Without missing a beat, Freya had inhaled her first parfait and was now starting the second. "It's all the same with those types. Show them power beyond their own and you'll have 'em cowering in a puddle of their own piss." She had just taken the last bite of her parfait when a roar surged though her mind and nearly caused her to spit it back out. "Speaking from personal experience?" He then commented saying that he would most likely avoid those groups in the future if he could. Naomi would be in shock almost as the waitress brought over their food and drinks, she would only snap out of it as Freya started to comment and tell her own story. Freya's voice carrying something different than before as she called them pests rather than dangerous people, before cutting herself a bite of her cake and having some. After that Naomi would sip on her coffee before getting ready to listen to Freya's telling, when she spoke of evoking spirits Naomi would get a shiver before she would let it go. Naomi would be in awe as Freya told them she had dragged the hooligans back to town and made them apologize for her room to stay. Naomi would be eating a piece of cake as Freya mentioned that causing her to smile delightfully before finally speaking "Wow sounds like you two have had to deal with some....unique people lets say haha. I would have been pretty scared myself to end up in your situation Yuuto, but it sounds like Freya has a good handle on things, do you mostly do it to survive while you travel or more so cause you like to?" she would ask them curiously as she took another bite of her cheesecake. |

Yuuto Kazegaya 悠翔 風早 With the food arriving at the table Yuuto took a glance at it as it quickly dissapeared into Freya's mouth, "Hmm, yeah I wouldn't really call them dangerous, more like not sane or clumsy?" after all the group of cultists didn't tie Yuuto up well enough allowing him to free himself and take his belongings before sneaking away. Freya seemed like the kind of person that would do mercenary work to get by, but at the same time from her appearance she didn't seem to be in need of money. "Kids can get outta control when they're given magic that they don't know how to control yet, at least you didn't have any problems in handling them." Naomi on the other hand was surprised by their stories and had a more surprised reaction, to Yuuto these things weren't out of the ordinary but he understood that for others that didn't travel much that might not be the case "Well I didn't really sense any danger out of the bunch so I wasn't scared, I might've been more scared if they had a demon with them" he took a pause and quickly reached for a cake and took a bite. | Freya Vanir With the parfaits to sate her sweet tooth, Freya took a more delicate approach to the eclair. It was a sizable pastry and Freya struggled to find an angle to bit it from that wouldn't get cream on her face. When Yuuto made a comment about kids getting out of control when given magic she would pause her fruitless attempt and raise an empty parfait glass in his direction, "Amen to that!" before continuing her quest to devour the flaky puff. Eventually she would forgo her caution and tear into the dessert resulting in a cream-tipped nose. "Yuuto is right! It's nice to get away and all, but you can't escape work. Wherever you go, it's going to be a struggle to get by. That's the essence of living! I'm sure those misguided hooligans are struggling too..." She licked the remaining crumbs from her fingers before helping herself to a slice of cake. "Feeling sympathetic?" The voice had asked her this before, possibly because it doubted her ability to carry out work or to ensure she kept in mind her goals. "If retribution is my weapon then sympathy is the guard. Neither of them seemed to dislike doing the odd jobs, Yuuto said he found it interesting when he would get an odd job. Once he was done speaking Freya would agree with him before speaking about the essence of living.....which was more of less working. Naomi would sigh, before going off into her own mind and day dreaming about some spell that would make it rain money. Naomi would finish up her slice of cake before realizing Freya had finished speaking as well, "haa I guess you can't escape work no matter where you go~....." she would say a bit deflated but none the less quickly turn her expression around to ask the pair another question or two "so how come you two came to this school? both of you seem like you have a pretty good handle on using your magic already?" she would ask under the assumption that the school was there for helping students mature their powers. |

Yuuto Kazegaya 悠翔 風早 As the desserts were dissapearing one after another Yuuto could feel his once empty stomach filling up although if he had to make an estimate he'd say that about 70% of the cakes had dissapeared from Freya's side while his and Naomi's still seemed relatively untouched in comparison. Freya took another bite off a dessert and agreed with Yuuto on his comment but it was kinda hard to take her speech seriously with that cream on her nose, especially with how her current look contrasted the topic. Yuuto was able to supress his laughter and instead just motioned towards Freya to catch her attention followed by pointing at his own nose, "Well everyone has their own circumstances so some people might not have to work at all in their lives but I don't think that's much fun at all." at Naomi's question Yuuto replied "I came to the institute in search of some information regarding teleportation incidents or stuff similar to those cases, plus I wouldn't really say I'm an expert at magic, there's always room for some improvement, ergo here I am." @RedPtolemy @Shitsuji-Carty |
| Freya Vanir Freya thought for just a moment that it was strange for Naomi to comment on her grasp of magic without witnessing it in action, but she was interrupted by another server arriving at the table. Much to Freya's dismay he delivered an inedible envelop and left swiftly. "The mission? Freya could have sworn that was tomorrow. Drat! After deciding she had to get a move on, Freya gathered her limited belongings and dug through her wallet for payment as Yuuto finished explaining himself. The distraction from earlier caused her to miss his gesture. "Regardless of circumstances, all people have a right to live. We all get by at difference paces is all." Without finding smaller change, she left a paper bill on the table to cover her order, but it would be more than enough to pay for her companions as well. "I hate to cut things short but work calls!" waving the envelope as justification, she would stand up to take her leave. "Ah! But, to answer your question Naomi..." with a flourish of her hat and a cream-tipped nose, "...I want to learn more about my enemy. I intend to fight hundreds of battles, and failure would be worse than death. I'm going to destroy magic with my own power. | Naomi Path @-Yamato- Naomi smile having enjoyed her slice of cake, only to bring her attention back to Yuuto as he started to speak again. Commenting on the fact that some people don't have to work at all during their lives, the thought made Naomi wonder what she would do with all that free time. When he started his answer to her question though she quickly reeled herself in and listened to what the man had to say. "oh I see, so your looking for something per say, haha yeah I need lots of improvement too if I want to be of more use to everyone." she said with a almost exhausted smile, that quickly vanished as Freya received a letter and peeked her curiosity. It seemed to be something important as Freya quickly started to pack up her things and leave some money for the bill, while trying to explain. Naomi would nod to agree with Freya's statement, only to nod again in acknowledgement when the woman flashed the envelope as proof of her work. Naomi was taken aback by Freya's answer to her question that it wasn't until the woman was gone did she speak up, "enemies and battles, I couldn't imagine getting mixed up in that kinda stuff....and what do you think she meant by destroy magic?" she would question aloud as she started to go through her wallet for some money to pay for what she had eaten. |

Yuuto Kazegaya 悠翔 風早 The sudden arrival of a letter spurred Freya to leave with a few words and a bill, the meaning to her words wasn't entirely clear leaving Yuuto with a few questions such as who were those enemies and what was failure to her. "Well she left in a rush, and she seems to have left more than enough money for our dishes as well" Yuuto pointed at the bill as Naomi was going through her wallet. "Also that's a good question, it didn't look like she hated magic..." he went through the meaning of her words in his head but couldn't come to an answer. "Anyways, tell me a bit more about yourself. I only know that you don't travel much and that this is probably your first time outside of your hometown" he asked and stared at Naomi. @Shitsuji-Carty |
| Naomi Path @-Yamato- Naomi would watch as Freya quickly gathered up her things and left in a hurry after getting a letter. She was a bit curious as to what it was all about, but finding out could wait till later as Freya was already long gone, and had left more than enough money for all their food apparently. Naomi would sigh and put her wallet away again before speaking "I hope everything is well, yeah I'm really curious as to what she meant." she would say before the topic of their conversation would turn to Naomi, she would chuckle lightly before giving her answer. "Yeah? okay, well as you can see I'm a mixed race, and my parents were alcohol distributors, and they had a secret menu they only sold using my magic." she would say a bit proudly before continuing "Though i was mostly just a delivery girl, I had fun talking and meeting everyone in my hometown. Oh and I really dislike bugs." she would followed by a faded chuckle. |
