I've mostly been using MasterAni & AnimeDao recently, but I went to check gogoanime just a few minutes ago and you get a 'Dangerous Site Ahead' red google screen warning that says the site ahead contains harmful programs. You can proceed at your own risk, but I'll pass lol. I was just wondering if anyone else had seen or knew anything about it. |

Lol I do, usually use MasterAni, and someone got me on the love train of uBlock Origin in the last 3 weeks, and its been fantastic. So much better than AdBlockerPlus. But regardless of your adblocker, this still red warning shows up still. that means its site-related, not just non-malicious ads (no matter how annoying they used to be pre-uBlock). |

You can download a trial version of Kaspersky, or any other antivirus software and watch your favorite cartoons. Lol what browser are you using? And Kaspersky used to be good, but anymore is more of a spyware itself. I'd never use Kaspersky nowadays, its become not only irrelevant but also very difficult to actually remove off any machine its installed on, even with the help of a 3rd Party Kaspersky Removal Tool the registry still has traces. Kaspersky is fine, although you probably don't really need additional antivirus software nowadays. I have seen other sites being reported and showing similar messages even though they are safe. Might be the same case here, and it won't surprise me with how annoying ads became there... Adblocking should be enough and last time I watched like 1 month ago the first (vidstream?) stream always had a popup on its player, might be better to change to the other mirrors before watching the video. |

I usually used mp4 upload mirror on gogoanime. and I'm well aware you don't generally need extra antivirus these days (though BitDefender & Avast would be best if you did). But I'm saying whenever someone brings in a computer and wants Kaspersky removed, its an uphill battle every. single. time. I'm not just talking about from view, I'm talking about the registry entries as well. It's the same with AVG (used to be my fav, now AVG is just as bad). And Norton and McAfee are literally a scam to people that pay to put that on their pcs. |

I would much rather download and play locally than have to be concerned if internet goes down/is slow/bufferblivion, or if sites (as so often do) have their servers overloaded with streaming. so I use the concept of torrenting inside the practice of streaming so to speak. |

It’s probably because someone bitched about their ads being malicious. They often can be. Using mobile Adblock doesn’t even rid me of all of them, both the gloriously ugly clickbait and the awful redirects. I thought I was starting to adjust to Gogo, and it used to be my main streaming site until I found Masterani. All I can say is thank god for masterani, their interface and lack of cancerous “ads” and malicious redirects have been a lifesaver. |

But in short, I've been using MasterAni/AnimeDao 90% of the time anymore. |

Still got this... was about to watch some anime. Tho also noticed that apparently Gogoanime's Admin posted on Facebook wanting people to report the site as Safe so it can be back up without the warnings. ___ ___ ___ Edit: BTW, I tried Masterani... Apparently the first time I went in to watch an episode (Toji no Miko ep6), I get a redirect (2 pop ups)... that goes to random website (and one of them also had a "Security warning") I didn't get any more pop ups on the next episodes (of other series either), just not sure what's up with this. Is this normal for Masterani? Edit 2: Forgot to mention I had NoScript active by default, and I only allowed stream.moe and moecdn.io, rest of Script is still blocked. (wonder if I had to allow all to prevent pop up or something) Edit 3: Just realized you can switch hosts and stream.moe was one of the hosts (I usually watch using MP4Upload) |

If its not a major manga that has its own dedicated site - i.e. the SnK/OPM/TG/BnHA style mangas - my first option to check is mangakakalot. But I do enjoy 9anime as well. My only complaint with 9anime is that when it shows the recently posted shows it defaults to also showing recently posted dubs of the same shows I watch the subs of, so i have to manually do the subbed only option. |
