You can call me Koen. I'm from the Philippines, born and raised. I've been exposed to anime since I was around 4-5 years old, so it's been part of my life ever since. I can't exactly remember what's the first show I've watched from all the anime that had been broadcasted in our local TV here. There were lots of them, but I can recall Dragon Ball, Flame of Recca, Yu Yu Hakusho, Voltes V, Daimos, Let's & Go, and Detective Conan.

I've pretty much watched a lot of anime, but I didn't formally started watching them until March 2013 through Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai and technically the first anime I've finished. At that time as well, it got me into anime again and still going.

Now I've been browsing MAL for a few years now looking for recommendations and stuff, though I only registered over a year ago. I was finally going to have my anime list here other than in the Notepad file I still have with me, but I got lazy and completely forgot about my account, and I'm here back again to know more about the community and be part of it hopefully.

Botwhaever recommended me this page for newbies, which clearly I am, so I'm here :P

Let's see; I'm twenty-seven (ouch). I suppose my first anime would be watching Sailor Moon with my sister when I was like five years old. The first one I "really" watched and got into was Gundam Wing back in 2000 (though I played plenty of anime inspired games before that with my sister). I used to spend a TON of time playing video games, and some of my favorite games were Ocarina of Time (or really all of the Zelda games), the Sonic games, Phantasy Star Online, and tons of others. I spent more time on games like WoW than I'd ever care to admit, but that was years ago. I mainly watch the stories from the games I really like on Youtube now, so I can dedicate time to other things. I also really love running, and I'm in college. I also love watching classic films and reading classic books.

I'm just starting to try get back into forum Roleplay (not the sexual stuff), so if anyone has any suggestions for that, that would be awesome. Either original setting or series based RP would be totally fine.

I'd really like to meet some other people, so if anyone wants to add me, that would be great!

my first ever watched anime was Rosario to Vampire (beside pokemon etc. when i was a little kid but that doesn't count right), MY fav anime so far is SAO and i can't get enough of it...so this was actually how i got in to the life of anime! feel free to ask me any question or even add me as a friend so we can have a little chat :D

I guess you can say I've been trying to make up for lost time haha.

not really new to anime. started watching as a teenager and still enjoy such content, even though i hardly have time to watch everything i might like from new seasons.

MAL and the anime community, however, i have 0 experience with. i'm trying to complete my watched list for now, managed to find a profile picture, and thats about it.

basically MAL seemed like the place to go to organise my Anime history, so that's the main plan for now. also seems like a nice site to find some new ones. might post some reviews myself someday, when i have the time.
