I just finished Code Geass and not sure which anime to watch next. Any recommendations or recommendations based on my anime list?

I really liked code geass and the characted Lelouch (as he's smart and acts like an 'evil' (?) character but deep down is emotionally driven by something and had good intentions). Other animes I liked are Death Note, Tokyo Ghoul (particularly the ending), etc.

Maybe hellsing?

https://myanimelist.net/anime/777/Hellsing_Ultimate - MC is chaotic-neutral, but has good(?) intentsions - personal opinion ;p
"The future is always blank. Only your willpower can leave footsteps there."

"Ruling over death means ruling over life. Death is the climax of life. To have the best death, you must honor life."

Zetsuen No Tempest (mystery behind a death, dual MC's, magic that can end the world), Aldnoah Zero (mecha, the MC can be hella passive at times but is an intelligent individual, earth vs. another planet), Neon Genesis Evangelion (also a mecha anime, but with psychological elements and controversial and old), Darker Than Black (badass MC, contractors of powers, beware of the second season).
All of these are really worth a try and are given good reviews most of the time.

well if you want an anime in the mech genre then i recommend guilty crown which received unnecessary hate because some people think its a rip off of code geass but the only thing they have in common is that they are both mecha anime and the plot of guilty crown is different from code geass although its as emotional if not more. neon genesis evangellion is also another good one except the main character is a bit of a pussy and the anime was made in the 1990's so the animation quality isn't on the same level of Fate Zero but its bearable.

if you are looking for an anime that is as good as Code Geass than i would reccomend death note but you already watched that so steins;gate and Re:Zero would probably be my best recommendations. and if i had to think of some more than black butler, attack on titan or sword art online ( character is op)
Edit: i noticed you dropped steins;gate ( my first reaction was " YOU BASTARD!") so i recommend you watch the first 3 episode before you judge an anime, trust me some anime just have a slow start but then get really good afterward
Edit2: ive watched full metal alchemist and really enjoyed it so after i finished then i started watching fma:brotherhood which was just utter crap for the first 13 or so episode which just seemed too childish to me compared to FMA. i dropped it and then picked it up after a week since it had so many good reviews, after the first 15 or so episode i started enjoying it alot since it got darker and the plot also improved. its now definitely on my top 10 anime

I can only think of death note mc (smart and kinda op but you've already seen it)

You might wanna try:
Kabaneri of iron fortress (similar to shingeki no kyojin)
Re:Zero (similar to ERASED)
Overlord (similar to Btooom!,SAO,NGNL)
Nanatsu no taizai (similar to akame ga kill)
Ano natsu de matteru (similar to anohana)

everyone keeps recommending steins;gate so i've been wanting to give it another try and watch more of it but i keep putting it off.
i'll probably start watching re:zero or attack on titan first

btw thanks everyone else for the recommendations, i'll check out the synopsis's
