this was in the anime though, so no spoilers there unless you're way behind on that (i believe it was ep 19) I only spoiler tagged my post in case people weren't up to date :P |

I just watched that scene and they were talking about mining rights from Emilia's territory. At the end of 19, Subaru still had his phone on him when the alarm went off when the White Whale appeared. |

| I mean it's a cell phone, not an actual magical device that transforms into a unicorn when you dial 411. There's not much it could logically do to help him in the realm he's stuck in because it's simply a mere cellphone. What kind of things did you expect it to do though? |
| I don't want to spoil too much, but Subaru forgets about Emilia later on and falls in love with his cell-phone. The scene where it dies is really sad. |

| @Mac97 Makes sense. But I doubt the creators of this series would've utilized the cellphone the same way. It'd be a surprise to me also if it did though. |
| Uhm...correct me if I'm wrong, but the cellphone HAS already played an important role, hasn't it? I mean, it's basically one of the main reasons this alliance with Crusch could be established in the first place. What more do you want it to do? |
