Although i am watching Hellsing Ultimate i don't find it disturbing, and i agree Higurashi IMO isn't disgusting at all. For me i guess it would have to be Elfen Lied, just the scene where Lucy pulls Nana's arms and legs off always gets to me. |

| Shigurui. There's not that much blood in this actually, it's just the way every muscle, every bone in the body is so well drawn that it feels disturbing. So when something gore actually happens (say cutting a woman's head in two with the brain spilling on the floor), its impact is greater than most other gore shows. |

| Gore seldom disgust me, but for some reason, guro tend to make me a bit queasy, so I'd say Mahou Shoujo Ai had some of the most gross scenes I've seen yet. |

| Obviously, Elfen Lied is one of them. It was the first really gory anime I've ever seen. The extreme violence made me feel a bit uneasy at first, but I got used to it so much that I dropped the series, since all that gore just annoyed me. I also thought Baccano was disgustingly gory. I was expecting it to be violent since it's about gangsters and the Mafia, but not like this. I can understand chopping off a few limbs to show off the immortals' power, but this proved to be a bit too much. The only reason I can stand all of that gore is because the series is so good. |

| Higurashi had a lot of killing, but they didn't show it that often. Also, Elfen Lied wasn't very gory, imo. It was just a lot of blood and unrealistic dismemberment. |

| lol, the words "disgusting" and "gore" in the same sentence. Anyway, the most *awesome* gore I've seen in an anime would probably be Gantz. There isn't really an anime that even compares to it. But, Berserk might be a DISTANT second. |

| Everybody's saying it already - easily Elfen Lied. Blood+ was pretty gory too, but Elfen Lied took it to a new level. And it wasn't just straight up gore either; the part where the dog is killed by little children was really shocking. |

| Like most everyone else I would agree that Elfen Lied is probably on it. Though Berserk seems promising to make it on this list, once I've finished it. Baccano! Will probably make it on the list as well once I've finished it. And I don't know why but I keep wanting to say that near the end of Neon Evangelian Genesis was pretty gruesome... but it might've just been more dark and <really> disturbing as opposed to a lot of gore. I should go back and check that out. |

I didnt know what it was till I saw it... and I do not want to talk about it or even mention the name of the one I saw... ...but I will say this: once you mix ppl being cut up with poo and "sex" (if thats what its called) you get really freaking grossed out... And Elfen lied/ Higurashi might of been bloody but I could watch without batting an eye... I'm so freaking desensitized by todays media it's depressing -.-...  |
