 Welcome to this season's chat thread for Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka?? or Is the order a rabbit?? If you like cute girls and/or cute rabbits that are also grandfathers, this is the discussion for you!! A couple quick rules before we dive head long into this!! 1. NO SPOILERS!! Yeah, yeah, you guys know this one already. The manga is out there, and it may contain spoilers for this season. Even though this is a slice of life anime, we're going to try to keep the discussion restricted to the episodes that have aired. Anything in last season's anime is also fair game. If you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO talk about the manga (which I totally get and frequently do) please utilize the button!! 2. Enjoy yourself!! It's totally cool to not like the way something was done or dislike a character, but try to do it in a constructive way so that other members can participate in the discussion. But if you keep expressing that you're not enjoying yourself, it's gonna bring the chat down. Everything about this show is super light and fun. So let's try to keep it that way!! 3. Be nice to people and drink lots of hot beverages while viewing this anime. So, what do we know?? Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka? is a story about one Hoto Kokoa who begins working at Rabbit House, a coffeehouse by day and bar by night. There she falls in love with adopts Kafuu Chino, a small girl who carries a rabbit on her head, as her little sister. Cuteness ensues. Characters??  Kafuu Chino. The youngest and most mature of the group. She carries her rabbit/grandfather around on her head. Initially skeptical about Kokoa's affections toward her, she is slowly becoming more accepting of them.  Hoto Kokoa. Loves Chino, loves rabbits. Incredibly bubbly and a little air-headed.  AyayaTedeza Rize. She's really just your normal girl, aside from all that combat training.  Kirima Sharo. She has a crush on Rize and is a childhood friend of Chiya. She works at an herbal tea shop called Fleur de Lapin because she is easily overcaffeinated. She also hates rabbits.  Ujimatsu Chiya. Chiya works at Ama Usa An, another coffee shop with their own rabbit mascot. In her spare time, she enjoys dodging things and making up long-winded names for menu items.  Natsu Megumi. One of Chino's school mates who occasionally helps around the cafe. She and Kokoa seem to have much in common.  Jouga Maya. Chino's other classmate and Megu's other half. She also occasionally helps around Rabbit House and is the more mischievous of the two.  Aoyama 'Blue Mountain' Midori. A novelist who frequently wanders the town for writing ideas (about rabbits). She feels indebted to Chino's grandfather (who is now a rabbit) and so sometimes helps man the bar with Chino's father. Here's a preview!! (is that a Hoto Moka I see??) Get excited, you guys!! | WHY WAS I NOT WARNED ABOUT THE ED!? *is dead* but seriously, that was far too adorable to be allowed. The thing I loved about the first series, other than the Kiniro Mosiac style yuri elements, was the european aesthetic that the city has. It gives the show an element of fantasy and cuteness. I'm glad too see that much hasn't changed for Season 2. |
| I wanted to see Sharo's reaction to that picture ('Nico!') of Rize! I'm actually wondering if we'll get multiple EDs. That one seemed really specific. They had the middle school girls sing the ED last time too, so they probably won't change it. |

| In today's episode: Sharo made friends with a delinquent feral rabbit named Wild Geese. Rize pulls a gun on her friends and then dresses them up in maid uniforms to clean the house. In true Yuru Yuri style, they play the King game. Chino looked adorbz as a maid  Also I just read that at the end of the ED, Chino's rock-paper-scissors motions will vary from week to week so that you can try and beat her. Or something. |

| I don't think they ever mentioned it, but I think it was implied when Sharo was pretending to be a ojou-sama in order to gain Rize's (and the others, but mostly Rize) approval. |

| She's been rich for as far as I remember, they just never showed it this blatantly. Iirc Sharo has the ojou-sama act because she's a poorfag in a rich school. Basically being poor is her 'thing' but that's all fine since her future wife's rich and stacked. |

 Chino is such a dork.  Poor Cocoa! Her sister looks so cool though. The lack of yuri in this episode maybe made up for the fact that we get to meet Moka next week.  Happy Halloween from GochiUsa! |

| Moka? Cocoa? What is this, Rosario + Vampire!? I kid, I kid. Although I realised that I forgot to watch last week's episode, so it was double Gochuumon for me this week! The latest episode seemed to fly by, maybe because it was mostly constrained to the two parts. The afternoon tea with everyone part and the worrying about onee-chan part. Although I like that kind of style, character interaction and dialogue is always something I enjoy watching. Probably why I love the Monogatari series so much. I predict next weeks episode will be filled to the brim with onee-chan. Even Rize-chan will succumb to her mature ways! |

Mocha's onee-chan powers were certainly over 9000 in this episode. Rize did her hairstyle twin Aya proud with the levels of blush she achieved. I also loved how they showed how Mocha and Cocoa are both different (in how Mocha feels a lot more reliable) but also in how they really are the same (in that they can both be easily distracted by rabbits and imoutos) Top onee-chan 10/10 would onee-chan again. |

I ended up watching episodes 6 & 7 today. Yep, that was a decent dose of moe, and Cocoa rascalry. I agree that there's more friendship than anything else, but sometimes it looks like a harem anime where the protagonist being fought over is Chino:  And if it is, the winner might just be Cocoa.  Little Cocoa was very cute. It looks like she got her remarkable mathematical ability, and interest in the law, as a little squirt.  I think she really could be international barista lawyer. People always say you can't get drunk off chocolates, but I dunno. Some people have really low alcohol tolerances, and if they're as small as Chino, who knows? The only time I've ever been intoxicated was from a cake my mother made—it had little pockets of brandy in it. But who cares, since we got this: anindigomoon said: Drunk Chino-chan is the cutest. |

| I loved how Chiya's idea of a fight is that Cocoa was mildly disinterested in the idea of changing classes. You can't resist that pouty face though. The entire tailing subplot was awesome though. When Aoyama, Sharo and Rize were watching the other in a surveillance triangle and neither of them would move because the others weren't moving xD Keep being whimsical, Gochuumon. |
| My definite favorite was when it turned out that Chino's dad was tailing Tippy who was tailing Chiya and Cocoa who were tailing everyone else. Great use of those characters, imo. |

There was a lot of weirdness this episode, but it was all really enjoyable. Sharo's crush on Rize makes me soso happy.    I dunno about you guys, but this was the perfect relief to a long week. |

| I know the whole "Busty girl wears a flat-chested girl's clothes and comments on the tightness of the chest area" gag is older than the main characters in this show, but this one still made me laugh. Something about Sharo's refusal to frown and her scary smile. The interrogation scene was awesome as well, was Sharo always such a masochist or has this side of her awakened only recently? One thing that has bugged me the entire series though, Megu's voice. She just doesn't sound like a little kid. It's not bad... just weird enough to pick at me when she speaks. |
| Just in time for finals week, GochiUsa is here to provide adorableness. Sharo and Rize's date was super cute. They never get enough alone time together, so this was really sweet, especially because we're reminded how ~gay~ Sharo is, cheering on her senpai.  Speaking of, Rize was incredibly cute this episode. I think she blushed even more times than ever before.  And something about no one playing with Cocoa and then they all went to the mountains, but that's for next episode. In the meantime, please stare at this gorgeous endcard of Chino this week.  |

Finally caught up.   Are these things really happening or is my secret journal affecting my perception of reality again?  Very late in the season to bring in a new ship.  I only realized this episode how funny it is that Rize is considered Ayaya 2 but is really far more Yoko. |

| I've always considered Rize to be the magical lesbian love child of Aya and Yoko. Her hair is the colour of Aya and Yoko's if you mixed them together, she has Aya's pigtails and occasional embarrassment. She also has Yoko's effortless cool and dense-ness. Also, Editor-chan and Aoyama-sensei OTP |

| So this was your pretty standard 'cute girls try camping,' but I think it mostly succeeded. Chino was hella cute, almost drowning and then getting scolded and then getting terrified by her friends as zombies.  And this adorable splash fight:  |
