Dragonball Kai vs. DBZ Abridged

Which alternative version of DBZ is better?

I'm gonna start watching Kai today, and I'm a bit curious what people who have seen both think.

Can you really compare the two?

DB Kai is a version that's more like the manga. DBZ Abridged is a parody that's meant to make you laugh. One isn't better or worse than the other because their goals are completely different.

That said, Abridged is hilarious.

Not comparable. But both are brilliant.

Sadly, i have started to quote DBZ abridged while watching kai. Especially when nappa started fighting >_<.

"Vegeta, what does the scouter say about his power level?" "It's .. 1006. Go beat him up." .. "Oh wait, I had it upside down. It's over 9000."

What amazes me about Abridged is that while Kai has really trimmed the fat off, Abridged is even shorter, has silly humor in it and it still managed to cover all the necessary plot points. (End of first arc: Original Z episode 31, Kai episode 17, Abridged 9 short episodes and one longer for a total length comparable to maybe 6 episodes)
