Can anyone fix the memory leak problem in 1.1.11? Taiga is using 500MB - 1GB of my memory which results the program to be useless since the program freezes after a short while launching it. I hope it'll be rectified soon. |

@Paulo27: Cannot reproduce. Does it happen only for specific titles? Does Taiga display an error on its status bar? In case it's some kind of a connection error, you may try running Taiga in debug mode for additional clues. @Jiharo: That's pretty weird. How long does it take to reach that amount of memory usage? Does it still happen if you run Taiga without any media players or web browsers running in the background? You may try disabling some options in order to figure out what's causing the issue. |

Just nothing happens, at first I thought no torrents were found but pressing enter after selecting the search bar brings up the results, I'll mess around with it a bit more when I get home, might have connection problems/slow connection because I know it worked fine before, I just don't use that option often anyway and now that I tried I ran into that. |

I feel kinda silly now, did figure out what was wrong though, problem was that I use a different tracker from the default one (it's the same one minus the "&filter=2" part), but since it's a Nyaa tracker I just kinda assumed it'd use that one and never noticed that there was a "Custom RSS feed" option, the "worked fine before" part is probably from when I used the default tracker. |

It's barely 3 mins after launching the program and I don't have any media player running at all. I'm using the 1.20 alpha version for now since the 1.1.11 memory leak is so severe that rendered the program hanging(being unresponsive). |

@lisppy65: It's going to be available at the beginning of next month, along with the new anime season. I may release a beta version sometime this month, though. @Jiharo: Assuming that you were not using a custom build of v1.1.11, the only thing I can think of is that you have a web browser running in the background, with lots of open tabs. If you can see from Task Manager that the memory usage of Taiga.exe gradually increases every second (every five seconds for web browsers), then it's related to anime recognition. You can test this by disabling anime recognition from Tools menu. If the memory usage suddenly increases after a couple of minutes, then that value can be used as a clue. In any case, it's all good if v1.2-alpha doesn't have the same issue. |

Thing is alpha v1.2 doesn't have this problem and prior to the incident I don't have much a problem with 1.1.11 Even with many opened tabs, I don't have a lot of MAL tabs opened. So far v1.2 isn't bad, am just gonna stick with it. Just informing you that 1.1.11 have this memory leak issue. But I'll try that for 1.1.11 when I have the time and feedback here. Thanks for the response. |

I set up the series I'm watching on Taiga before I logged into MyAnimeList, I only just made an account. When I log into MyAnimeList account it deletes all the series i'm currently watching off Taiga instead of syncing them and adding them to MyAnimeList. If I log out of MyAnimeList on Taiga the series will all reappear. |

Were you using a Hummingbird account or another MyAnimeList account before? Could you explain what you mean by "logged into MyAnimeList" and "log out of MyAnimeList"? Edit: Now that I think about it, if you added the series (through Seasons page, I assume) before entering your username and password, you can try doing this to resolve the issue: 1. Close Taiga. 2. Go to the directory that Taiga is installed in. 3. Copy Taiga/data/user/@myanimelist/history.xml file to Taiga/data/user/Meowzor@myanimelist/history.xml. 4. Restart Taiga. If it works, you can then delete that first @myanimelist directory (the one without your username) as well. |

I have an issue to report and I hope this is the right place to put it. Kuroko no Basket 3rd Season cannot be updated because of 'Invalid ID'. I'm not sure if this relates to anything, but when I right click > search > MyAnimeList, it brings me to the page which shows the 3rd Season of KnB and the bloopers rather than bringing me directly to the anime's page. |

Jacquelin said: "Arlan Senki (TV)" is the name of the TV series though, it doesn't help (or does) that MAL doesn't have "Arlan Senki" as an alternative title for it so, for Taiga, "Arlan Senki" is the OVA and "Arslan Senki (TV)" is the TV series, there's no problem here, if you add "Arlan Senki" as an alternative title it'll prioritize the TV series.Watching Arlan Senki the now playing dialog is on the OVA entry despite it not being in my list. Is it possible to prioritize list entries if a title corresponds to multiple entries? But your suggestion might still be of use because, if MAL had "Arlan Senki" as an alternative title for it, it's possible there'd conflicts between the OVA and TV series (since you adding an alternative title is the same as MAL adding it, which means that if MAL had "Arlan Senki" as an alternative title for the "Arlan Senki (TV)" you'd not be able to get Taiga to recognize the OVA since it seems to prioritize the TV series in this case, so maybe it's for the best that MAL doesn't have that alternative title). |

I can think of two possibilities: 1) There was another MAL entry for Kuroko no Basket 3rd Season that you happened to add to your list, but then it got removed from the database for being duplicate. Hence, MAL now reports that its ID is invalid. 2) Taiga's local anime database got corrupted for some reason. In either case, if you can send me the following files, I can take a look: - Taiga/data/db/anime.xml - Taiga/data/user/KenmanH@myanimelist/anime.xml - Taiga/data/user/KenmanH@myanimelist/history.xml KenmanH said: when I right click > search > MyAnimeList, it brings me to the page which shows the 3rd Season of KnB and the bloopers rather than bringing me directly to the anime's page. In v1.2, Taiga's priority list is as follows: Alternative titles (user) > Main title = English title > Alternative titles (MAL) Anime type doesn't make a difference, unless the filename includes a type keyword such as "TV" or "OVA". In this case, Taiga simply discards all anime with another type. |

Hello Lately I'm having problems with Gintama (The first series, without any special symbols). Since the new season (Gintama°) began I can't properly update the episodes. When I click "play next episode" (for example the 92) it starts to play the proper one. However it recognises the series as Gintama° (picture of it: http://puu.sh/h9Y6t/1d9376e2b5.jpg) so it updates the list like I've seen Gintama° episode 92. Is there any way to make it work properly? |

Titles with numbers in their titles are detected as titles with episode number inside. e.g. "Yume 10 Yoru" detected as Yume #10 Not sure if can be fixed unless checking against both possibilities in a user's list before defaulting to that logic. |

@Caeolos Hi there Caeolos. This should be working properly in v1.2. You can try out the latest beta, or wait for the stable release. @Jacquelin Just as you said, Taiga needs to check them both. It's technically impossible for a filename parser to be sure which one's intended. But it should be safe to look up the "merged" case ("Yume" + "10" + "Yoru") first, I think. I'll try to do that for the next release. |

@Jacquelin I tried to fix that issue in the latest release, although I've only been able to test it with a virtual drive (I don't have an actual DVD/BD drive). Let me know if it worked out for you. @Keepo If Taiga was able to download the setup, there must be a TaigaSetup.exe file under the installation directory of Taiga. You can try executing it manually. As for the issue itself, where do you have Taiga installed? There may be a problem if it's installed under Program Files and you have User Account Control enabled. @Darkholow Assuming that you haven't changed any settings, I can think of a couple of things. Perhaps you have the "Ignore files outside of library folders" option enabled and were playing a file that is outside of your library folders. The option didn't quite work previously. With this release, it works in most cases. If that's not the case, could you tell me which media player you use? Or if you're watching streaming videos, which web browser and media provider do you use? |

First of all, check Settings → Recognition → Media players page and see if media player detection and MPC-HC are both enabled. If there's nothing wrong with these settings, then try this: - Go to Settings → Advanced - Double-click on Recognition / Media player detection method - Erase "prioritize_file_handle" and confirm |

Looks like they used a different version of Qt or a different option to compile that, and the main window class of VLC is named "Qt5QWindowIcon" instead of the usual "QWidget", which is used by Taiga to detect that it's running. Not sure if it's intentional or just an oversight on their part, but I'll keep an eye on that, thanks. |

Hey guys Not sure if I'm missing something, but I can't get this anime relation/redirection thing to work on a regular basis. I've spent some time yesterday trying to figure why it wouldn't recognize "[Commie] Fate⁄stay Night Unlimited Blade Works - 13 [E19030CB].mkv" as season 2 ep 1, gave up, and when I came back to my seat a few hours later, I tried againand it "magically" worked. Then this morning it wouldn't recognize it anymore, and while I was writing this post, it suddenly worked again. |

Hey jerder. Have you done anything that could change Taiga's behavior such as modifying anime_relations.txt, manually updating Taiga, adding an alternative title for the series, etc.? If there was an error reading the file, Taiga may have logged it to Taiga.log under the installation directory. |

I actually did some changes to alternative titles yesterday while I was trying to understand why it didn't work, and I even tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling Taiga. But as I said, Taiga started recognizing correctly only a few hours after I've stopped doing anything. I didn't change anything today, and it still took Taiga some time to recognize correctly again. And now I've just restarted my computer and it doesn't work anymore. I didn't modify the anime_relations.txt file. I just looked into the log file, I have indeed some errors from time to time. 2015-04-24 19:33:42 [Warning] recognition_relations.cpp:142 track::recognition::Engine::ReadRelations | Could not read anime relations data. |

Is this something that happens only when you play that episode? When you search Nyaa for "Commie Fate 13" on the Torrents page, does Taiga recognize the 13th episode as the 1st episode of UBW 2nd Season? A couple of other questions: 1- Where do you have Taiga installed? 2- Does a file named anime_relations.txt exist under Taiga/data/db directory? 3- If it does, is it empty or does it look exactly like this? 4- Try manually updating Taiga via Help → Check for updates menu once. It'll report that there's no application update available, but then it'll update and reload anime_relations.txt in the background. Does it work after this? |

Looks like it simply cannot read the file from time to time, then. When you do that manual update thing it reads the file from memory rather than the drive, which is probably why it works. 1- Does Taiga start automatically with Windows? If so, does it make a difference if you close it and run it yourself? 2- Does it make a difference if you run Taiga as administrator? 3- Do you have any software running in the background that might prevent other applications from doing stuff? |

I imagine the problem might have something to do with the fact that Commie doesn't use a normal "/" but uses a special "⁄" instead, this is for UBW, for Fate/Zero they use yet another special "⁄". |

Indeed, I checked it myself and mine detects it fine even with the weird "/", one episode doesn't get detect for some reason though. EDIT: Adding "Fate⁄stay Night Unlimited Blade Works" with the weird "/" fixed it though, seems kinda random. EDIT2: Also, the UBW movie ("[Commie] Fate ⁄ stay night - Unlimited Blade Works [BD 720p AAC] [B6319D89].mkv") gets detected as the prologue for some reason. |

started having issues after updating to 1.2 with horriblesubs release of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure 2nd Season being detected. "[HorribleSubs] JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - Stardust Crusaders Egypt Arc - 40" Playing the file from explorer has taiga detect the episode as s2e16 which is fine and I can only assume it will update, however within Taiga itself, it does not show as there being a new episode (no blue highlighting). I can also no longer play an episode of it directly from taiga. Seems like it can parse the title name from mpc-hc correctly, but its failing on the file scanning. all other shows seem fine. |
