◆The world of “Elder Tale” has landform of which shape based on the “Half-Gaia project”. The aims of the project is to duplicate the half-size earth landform on the MMO-RPG “Elder Tale”.
The world is divided into 13 areas and each areas are managed by regional operating company. These company release stories and visuals with different design concept. By the reason, all areas in the world have unique monsters and dungeons.
This description is also applied to name and appearance of 12 “Main Class”.
Regional operating company re-designed 1-3 class from 12 “Main Class” to some special “Localized Class” to establish a local area’s uniqueness.
These re-design mainly change background and graphics and slightly change its performance by unique equipments setting in rare case.
However, such performance variation are supervised by the Atharva corporation, that is the main developer of the Elder Tale, to keep a balance of combat performance with caution.
This time around, I invite Log horizon fans all over the world to offer their opinions about setting of the “Localized Class” on any region of the world ! You can send your idea by form of simple questionnaire. Please join us on this occasion.
Please be forewarned that your posted idea can be adopted as a main story setting officially.
This occasion has two stages. First stage, questionnaire form is available by Feb.10. Second stage, put out some promising ideas and request for comments to decide which “Localized class” settings are adopted finally.
Current results, a compilation of most localized Class and names.
News on the localised class submission project! An interim report on its current status was just posted on mamare.net: ログ・ホライズン地域職業募集企画中間発表. At the time it was posted, Mamare had received 1834 submissions from 53 countries, a pleasant surprise for a project that was born from a whim =3. As the submissions come in various languages, he apologises for any wrong or incomplete translations and proceeds to give an overview of what he has received so far.
Next he listed a few examples for each server complete with the number of submissions collected for each server, from which countries the submissions had come from, a brief description of each class and finally a short comment on the submissions for each region.

good lord. could you imagine if a real mmo were developed this way ? even if the localizations were just renames & reskins, it'd be crazy awesome when combined with the half gaia project.

There's no direct translation but basically:
-Choose one new class for that server
-There are a couple of options with the same name, but with different class entries
ex: China's entry for Daoshi is split between Daoshi as a Kannagi Class or a Sorcerer Class.
-Voting ends at the end of this month
And that's basically it.
To Make things a bit easier, the finalist:

-Pirate (Samurai Class)
-MedicineMan (Kannagi Class)

-Brawler (Monk Class)
-Duelist (Swashbukler Class)

There's no Africa and Oceania Poll, because there's only 2 entries that made it as finalist, and that's the promised number of entries that will be included.
So, 2 -3 winners for each server.
Facts from Mamare's response
-Swiss Mercenaries, Legionnaires and Clown was also submitted for the Western Europe Server.
-1/4 from all the entries came from Southeast Asia, especially Indonesia.
-The Vikings received the most Variety in Class submits, So Viking as a Samurai Class, Guardian, Assassin and even a Viking as a Bard.
-Africa and Oceania has the least submission
Too many Fighters and Mediums. (Kannagi Class)
And stupid people choosing Pirate for NA, as it's been said already that the original was already Pirate.
