| So I didn't really want to search the forums for this due to the potential spoiler risk, but in case it hasn't been discussed yet: why the hell does Kurapika look so different around the time he re-appears? I can't think I'm the only one to have noticed this. As soon as I first saw the intro to the second arc, I was shocked to see how different he looked with respect to everyone else. I felt Killua looked a bit different as well (his eyes went softer and rounder, his face in general seemed to give a warmer vibe), but definitely nothing as noticeable. Now I'm not sure if it's his eyes, or his mouth, or a slight shift in everything but something about Kurapika just looks SO OFF. It's like they tried to mature him but instead they turned him into some baby-faced young adult. And even beyond that, his face just looks... stupid most of the time, as if he himself doesn't know what to do with it. I personally found it really weird and bothersome and I'd really like to know how everyone else feels about it. As much as I told myself it's just his new outfit, I'm absolutely certain that's not the case. |
| 1. Togashi art style changed overtime(happens with all mangaka) 2. Time has gone by in the story, so they made it seem like he has grown as well by having his hair grown and a new outfit. |
