Really exciting anime (R - 17+)

I'm wondering if there are some really exciting animes that are mostly for like teens over 13 (I'm getting really bored of all the PG-13 rated animes where NOTHING PERMANENT happens) I need interesting characters (interesting relationships), an interesting plot, preferably with some drama and some excitement (NOT some brainless action-packed stuff)
I've already watched: Shingeki no Kyojin, Gankutsuou, Naruto(though i think it's too cliché), Chrno Crusade, Gosick, Kuroshitsuji...Can you tell me animes like that? :))

everyone gets excited from differnet thing but i think i know what you asking for, action anime with blood and all the fun stuff (if im wrong correct me).

so:
HUNTER X HUNTER 2011 - maybe the best shounen anime ive seen. amazing. if
you look for excitment, hunter is the choise.

ANOTHER- dark anime, a lot of mystery. a little horror. there is blood. personally, i got excited from this anime.

BTOOOM - survival anime. there is action, and good anime, i think it would also answer to what you asking for.

ELFEN LIED- maybe you heard about the anime, mystery and blood, that what make me excite

FATE/ZERO - amazing anime. action and blood at the highest lvel. non-stopping action (intense anime for my opinion).

MIRAI NIKKI- i liked the anime so much, and it is the anime that i excited the most from.

1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...

Thank you!! Yeah I've heard these are all pretty good :D but what I'm actually looking for is something where there is drama and strong emotions, and that the anime is not limited by its rating (dunno, it's a bit hard to explain) ^^"" so there can be blood in it, but I dont want blood and killing to be the main point about the series, but the characters and the actual plot :))

(both R rated and awesome!!)

Also, I second the Death Note recommendation

If you really enjoyed Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi (Spirited Away), definitely try Howl's Moving Castle
