Eren's Surprise (Attack On Titan) (Shingeki no Kyojin) (SPOILER ALERT FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVN'T SEEN THE SEASON FINALE!!)

Well since the first season is over, I'm going to have a really hard time coping with the wait for season 2...boo :( But I'm pretty sure with the popularity its getting, its inevitable for the second season to hit the screen. What I was really wondering in the end of episode 25 during his fight against Annie, he was getting badly beaten up and then musters some kind of strength and goes on a hell bent rage. His body started flaring. Now I'm wondering where the flames come from. Just to let you know I'm just watching the anime, so I don't know much about the manga. But if anyone can explain from the manga that would be greatly appreciated.

Here are my thoughts:

1. First I thought he just caught on fire because of the burning buildings, but when I saw the fight again I realized that he never really landed or was near any of the burning buildings to catch on fire like that.

2. I realized that Eren's titan has to have some other ability(ies), so far from the other titan's shown they all have abilities like how Anne has her crystal skin.

3. I don't really think an excessive amount of steam healing would result in your body being set on fire and if that was the case he'd probably just burn to death and just lay where he was. The titans aren't as durable as you'd think they'd be once put in a battle against each other. They're kind of like overly, hyper sized humans with a healing factor.

4. If the fire wasn't one of his abilities why did his eyes shift from green to a neon blue? Something must have been triggered or else they would've still stayed green!
The color of his eyes correlated with his flames!

5. The armor titan in the first episode was able to breathe fire as well!...unless he was really hung over and had a chronic indigestion dilemma that made him puke...

6. I really think Eren needs to polish up on his fighting skills and control that rage...his strength is amazing because he was able to make Anne fly...now imagine that strength being controlled better. He'd be a BEAST!!

7. I really hope Armin and Mikasa become titans to...somehow.

8. Does Anne turn into a good guy? She seemed like one of those "pretend" bad guys to me who just needs to get their heads straight. She'd be a really valuable asset.

9. I DEFINITELY KNOW JEAN"S A TITAN....that little shadowly eye moment when he steps out of Eren's room said it all! I could be wrong though........

10. Lastly, Where are the Power Rangers?! They need some Megazords up in there NOW!!! XD <------joke lol

Sorry if this was a lot to read....just so many questions. I love this anime its just SOOO different compared to everything else. Maybe you guys can suggest something similar to it?

i may be wrong here but i think i read something about the manga saying that the reason titans eat people is because that is how they reproduce

But how do titans reproduce with dead bodies? I remember hearing something about how they can't digest what they eat so they just throw up balls of people. Kind of like coughing up a furball lol

im a manga reader and titans do not reproduce that way, its yet to be revealed why titans only eat humans and they do not have reproductive organs too

Do you guys think Eren's titan ability is only his massive strength? He's proven to be significantly stronger in terms of brute strength and raw power when facing Anne. But I would really love the idea if he becomes a flame titan.

what do the colossal titan and armored titan and female titan have in common? they are all skinless and eren's titan form have yet to go skinless, maybe once a titan goes skinless it evolves to have a unique ability

Lol too late...i've seen pictures of romance between her and Eren in their titan forms...thats shown all over facebook!

I mean he had to be on fire for a reason lol i def know his eyes had to have turned blue for some reason when he was on fire. If the flames were just coincidence his eyes wouldve stayed blue. Im curious to know who else did the flame power. All I saw was the Armor Titan breathe flames in the first episode.

For number 1., the titans give off steam when they regenerate
So it was logical the writers had turned him into flame so he could heal his head back in .002 seconds

As for 5,7, and 9... Youre either a troll or a dumbass

To me, the whole turning on fire bit just seemed like it was more of an artistic device to show Eren's rage... It could quite possibly not mean anything else beyond being a device to show his resolve.

-SPOILERS-

It is an ability usually exclusive to the reiss family known as the Coordinate. This allows the user to do 3 things, control Titans, wipe memories and access the lost memories of all the people in the walls. Eren got this power when his father (grisha) had attacked the reiss chapel and killed krista/historia's sister, Freida by biting through her spine while they were both in Titan form. This was later transferred to eren when grisha had injected a sirum into eren which gave him his Titan shifting abilities and eren subsequently ate most of grisha including his spine. The power had been passed down through the reiss family by the next inheritor ingesting the spinal fluid of the last owner.
