Is it too early for reviews?

How many episodes of Clannad has there been?
Only four right?

How can you write a legitimate, honest review when there's only been four episodes so far. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for writing reviews and expressing your own opinions. However, isn't this a bit ridiculous? We haven't even finished all of the secondary arcs from the visual novel and people want to create reviews to rate the entire series. I feel that this is naive and unfair for the entire series.

Maybe I'm the only one who feels this way, and if I am, I'll admit that I'm a douche of MAL. However, I would still feel justified in what I said and firmly believe that judging a 24-episode series when only four episodes has aired is silly.

This happens with pretty much every series. People review stuff after just a couple of episodes because they think it entitles them to condemn or praise a series in its entirety. they're idiots, ignore them.

I know how you feel. I see them all the time and its so pointless. Sometimes people will review a series after only one episode. I mean, if they want to write about their feelings on a series after only one episode, why don't they just do it in the episode's forum. Thats what its there for. A review is might for a whole series, not a few episodes. I would never read or write a review after only 4 episodes.

I feel like that too. People should really wait for the anime to progess fully so they can also have an idea if they should love it or bash about it.

I agree 100%.
Wait till the final episode if you want to write an overall review of the series.
Take a look at Code Geass R2 for example.
In the middle of the run, people say 'oh my gawd, its teh trainwreck' all the time.
And I have to admit, I used to be one of those people.
But Code Geass R2 redeemed itself by the last episode, with it's epic ending.

I still serious don't understand why almost everyone in the forum treat Code geass R2 as a trainwreck.. It still amazingly good IMO.

I agree. It annoys me a lot when I see reviews before the series is finished. I mean, the ending could be completely better or worse than what they think of the series so far. I also get somewhat annoyed when people rate things only like half way into the series, but I can understand that slightly more. Usually I have a rating in mind, but it can change depending on how things go.

There's a simple solution to those of you who disagree with the reviews that come before a series ends. Give it a "Not Helpful" vote and leave it at that.

I haven't read any of the Clannad ~After Story~ reviews, but I know the review system of MAL makes it a point that the reviewer states how many episodes they've seen. Since that's included, take from it what you will, and if you're really against it, don't read them. Plain and simple.

And my response to that is Death Note was a train wreck peace of garbage. The beginning was solid but then it derailed and went to pure suckage. Code Geass on the other hand Started out amazing, got side tracked, and then jumped back on the tracks of awesomeness. People are just sheep and follow whatever the popular word on the MAL forums are.

As for early reviews, it's purely fans just trying to increase their e-penis size by posting useless dribble in an attempt to persuade the majority to follow (ie. *user has seen 1 out of24 episodes* This show is horrible. The graphics where horrible and the music was god awful. You shouldn't even start watching this. It's clear the directors don't know anything about the manga, game, visual novel, hentai and their just going to butcher the series...bla bla bla waaa waaa).

You just gotta learn to ignore it and hope they wont continue to post early reviews or recommendations.

Just dont read them lol ^_^
In all honesty thought, yeah, I think we all agree that it's too early to say anything right now. An anime is as good as it's ending :].
This topic is just turning into a review of other anime's itself.

I think it's pointless to make a review before completing the anime, but so what, that's what you put not helpful for.

Plus some of the reviewers do put "this is based off what I have seen so far" so yea they aren't really doing a full review.

It's strange that this topic is up because I was think about this not too long ago. I'm glad that other people agree with me.
