| Tatsu continued walking, listening intently to the conversations of the others. The smell was putrid, disgusting. Well, I guess this is what sewers are supposed to smell like, he deduced. As they continued walking, he couldn't but help feel uneasy. Everything seemed to cut and dry. It was setting him on edge. |

| Scarecrow smirked fearsomely. A cold, twisted smirk. He walked toward the exit, following Ken and Ren. "I will make sure our... guests... have a proper welcome. I shall be back later." He announced as he went out of the tent before she gave him any order. For some reason, he was feeling uneasy close to her. Shaking hands, he kept walking toward the pulses of thought he now sensed. Before that, he decided to scare them out of the sewers. "Going somewhere...?" His voice echoed through the sewers, making a sound that passed through them like a cold wind. This was what he considered his real voice. A deep, cold voice, that usually echoed almost endlessly. Right now, he was not going to play with them, he was going to be much more serious since he was not in the mood to play. |

| "And this is the clown cosplayer I'm guessing?" Ray questioned, smirking as he continued to follow. Chris readying his shotgun. "Mm." Masaru nodded slightly. "He specializes in melee, and will often use his illusions during a fight. He also might call in the giant snake I mentioned before. Use that information, if you still plan on going past him to find your comrade." He told them, ignoring Scarecrow's voice. "Well, since you seem to be in a talking mood. We're just here for our little friend. Skully here tells us you took Kuu somewhere. So, where is she? Oh, right of course. You're probably one of those assholes that's going to be stubborn and try to stop us aren't ya'?" Ray questioned, seeming cocky though he did already have his pistol drawn and was proceeding cautiously. |

| Crows flew from the inner tunnels, many of them, passing through them quickly and then flying upwards toward the streets. When the crows finished passing, his voice followed the bats of their wings. "Go... Away... This will be your only warning..." The voice echoed, now more dark and deep than normal. His voice showed that he was more serious than the last time when he fought against Masaru. "If you keep coming... I will not be able to save you..." He added as a crow flew and stopped upon the ceiling, looking upon Ray. |

| "That's a laugh." Masaru said calmly. "The Legion are the ones who have business with you." He stated blankly. "Also, I met some friends of yours Scarecrow. I believe one little girl was called Hammerfell. Another had many similarities to you, even his annoying personality. The girl stated you were alike me. I almost threw up and burst out laughing. One similarity in a sea of differences. I have no interest in fighting you, I am merely passing by on the way to my base. And I will protect my subordinates if you choose to attack me." He spoke to him. He didn't want to fight Scarecrow at this time, merely escort Tatsu and Chi back. They came into sight of the hole, Masaru passing it without stopping, truly showing he had no interest. "There's the hole. If you truly with to find your comrade, there it is." Ray paused for a moment. "Now, that's sweet. But from what I heard, you attacked my buddies outside the base. So don't gimme' that bullshit of wanting to save us. You wanna' slaughter us right now, don't ya'?" He retorted cockily, however was still quite cautious. "Alright. We know the location now. We need to make a decision, Sweetheart, Chris, Captain. You really wanna' go in there now? This guy doesn't seem like he wants to fuck around." He said quietly to them. (That a new character? I don't remember seeing him when I played :/ Awesome voice anyhow xD) |

| Tatsu wasn't quite sure what to do. From the information he'd gained, he strongly felt that the Legion members were going to be unable to take care of themselves. He wanted to help them, and yet, he was a Deathwatch member now. He had a duty to follow the orders of the Rank 0. Taking care of your own had become a lesson that the plague had taught him well. So he remained silent, and waited to see what the others would do. |

The voice responded in a cold manner as a cold wind blew from the tunnel. Darkness was engulfing the tunnel and a silent sound could be heard. The sound of a snake's tounge, disappearing in the shadows. "Let the game begin, then!" The voice announced in a shout before laughing insanely. The laugh was not only insane but also fearsome and twisted, showing how much he waited to flay someone alive. |

Alicia said with a grin as she smacked her fist into the palm of her hand, "Don't tell me your getting cold feet?" she asked Ray, lightly mocking him. She took point and assumed a Savate stance showing, for the first time, some discipline and control. |
| "You wish to assist them?" Masaru questioned Tatsu, pausing for a moment to look back at him with a blank face. "Just making sure Sweetheart." Ray retorted, smirking slightly. "Sorry, but I'm not really playing any game. This is kinda serious shit to me." He told him smirking before he grew a glare. "Not sure if you're aware of this but a mutant asshole like you already blew up my sister, so I'm considerable pissed." He retorted sounding threatening, which was usually rare for him. Chris retained a blank face, still smoking and checking his shotgun. |

He told them with a fierce and threatening voice. The sounds of his various voices echoed through the sewers, going even toward the Deathwatch Base. After such a strong sound, every undead in the sewers would reach them in 30 minutes. |

| "Sorry, she's not into cosplaying assholes." Ray retorted. "Let's move." He commanded seriously. He knew what Scarecrow was doing. He was luring the undead to them. "And if you didn't take our little friend, we wouldn't have to come here and shove our feet up your ass." He responded heading for the hole, Chris following him. |

| "Please run!" Ren's voice echoed from the tunnel as she crouched behind cover hidden under the cover of darkness. For some reason both Ken and Ren seemed to be rather resistant to hypnosis as they were once again back to how they were after Kuu hypnotized them the first time. "We really don't want to hurt you!" Ken continues, "Don't make us!". Their kind demeanor and warnings were the polar opposite of the aggressive Scarecrows taunts. "Oi, that was really loud Ray..." Alicia said as she tightened her stance and followed them into the hole. |

There was no need for him to keep screaming and yelling anymore. "However, that is irrelevant. The question is... Will you be able to survive? I think not. I shall kill all of you, one by one. Do you want to make a bet?" He asked as he laughed once more. |

You're probably just gonna' use her and then throw her away." He chuckled softly. "Truthfully though, if you weren't such a dick I might believe you." |

| Alicia took point again and ran slightly ahead of the group and as she was about to turn a corner she was greeted with a hailstorm of bullets from down the tunnel. "Shit!" she yelled as she dove forward into an opening in the wall on the other side of the path. Her duster and pants had several holes in it but other than that she remained unscathed. "God damnit!" she yelled as she tried to poke her head out, only to be greeted with another storm of bullets this time more focused and in shorter bursts. She was able to identify the weapon just from its sound, Uzi's. |
| Ray stopped at the corner. "Who the fuck uses Uzi's?" He questioned, slightly annoyed. "Maybe I can suppress them. If I do that, think you can run up there and knock'em upside the head Sweetheart?" He questioned her, holstering his pistol and loading his sniper. |

That is why you deserve to die, for trying to be something you are not." He said before the bullets were stormed to Alicia. Scarecrow finally revealed himself, behind them, he was always behind them. He went in to kick Chris' shotgun away from him. After the kick, he took out his scythe and prepared to fight them. "Now, then, what delightful agony we shall inflict." He mused as he chuckled lightly. |

| "Shit! Chris behind you!" Alicia yelled as she saw scarecrow appear behind them and tried to make it to them in time, only to be forced back into cover by another round of bullets. She ground her teeth in frustration as she saw Scarecrow kick Chris' shotgun away. Meanwhile Ren, who was crouched behind cover someways down the tunnel, pursed her lips as she skillfully reloaded one of her Uzi's with a single hand, being sure to keep the other one trained on where Alicia was hiding. She didn't like this. She didn't like it at all but in her mind, her twisted insane mind, Kuu and Ken's safety was all that mattered to her anymore. Strangely, Ken was nowhere to be seen... (Done for tonight. Gotta work on a little something something.) |

| "Ya' know. I really had no fuckin' say in that. And I've stated several times by now that I don't give a fuck if she knows my secret." Ray however kept his sniper out. "But, what's the point. Every battle and war, both sides think the other's a bunch of pricks and that they were the 'good guys'. So, let's quit arguing. Now shut you fuckin' mouth ya' creepy sadist." Truthfully, Ray wasn't sure if they could win. Sure he was good in a melee fight. But usually against other humans or corpses. "Sweetheart, you wanna punch the hell out of this fucker? You hand's heavier than mine." He told her. He believed that if she could keep Scarecrow away from him, he may be able to suppress whoever was down there with his sniper, allowing Chris to retrieve his weapon to assist them. It wasn't as suppressive as a heavy machine guy or even a light one for that matter but a bunch of consecutive sniper rounds in your direction usually made you want to duck in cover. Chris was surprised when he appeared out of no where and kicked his shotgun away. He wouldn't be able to get it, pinned down by the Uzi's. |

| As Scarecrow laughed, amused by the fight, he threw his scythe towards Ray. "No, no, no, no... You wanted a fight, then you shall have it." A chain was conecting the scythe and Scarecrow, he used it to pull himself toward Ray, with his other scythe in hads. The sound of bells were heard as he swinged his scythe toward Ray, full of killing intent. While this, another Scarecrow went toward Alicia, also full of killing intent. "Come on, fight me, I dare you!" He said as he laughed again. |

| Ray moved his sniper to act as a shield against the scythe, he had to use all his strength to block as Scarecrow's strength was much higher than his. "Aw, what's the matter. Big bad clown can't handle a mere 'weakling' human without his illusions? I'd be happy to fight you. Not so happy to fight your pansy illusions though." |

| Tatsu had heard Masaru's question, but he remained silent. He wasn't sure what to do. As he watched the battle rage on, he came to a decision. It wasn't his choice to make. "Sir, I am yours to command. Do with me what you will," he responded. |

| "I want a subordinate, not a mindless lapdog." Masaru responded harshly. "I asked what you want. Not what I want, or what they do." He told him, scowling behind the mask. "I need people who can make decisions for themselves and tell whether or not something is right themselves, however don't go against my orders." |

| Chi woke up and groaned. "What's going on?" She asked hearing the fighting. "Did I miss something important Masaru-sama?" |
| Those words burned. Tatsu was trying to show mere respect, and this was what he got? He glared angrily, and his temper flared. "Masaru, you are the head of the Deathwatch, and thus, I will respect and perform your orders to the highest of my ability...," He stepped forward and looked directly into his eyes. "But that does not mean you can say whatever you like to me. I respect you as my higher up, but the fact that you are my superior does not mean you are more skilled than I. You would do well to know this." He backed away and directed his attention to the Legion Members. Tatsu was irritated. He knew that they needed his help, but hiis anger twisted his judgement, as he looked at the others that were battling Scarecrow. "They will fight without my help. This is no longer the world we once knew 10 years ago. Times have changed, and only the strong survive. If they die, then they do not deserve a place here," he stated coldly. He turned back to Masaru. "Shall we leave?" |

| "I know you're trying to be respectful, but this isn't the military. I don't want you to blindly listen to me without any thoughts for yourself. If you went against one of Scarecrow's kin and survived, it means you're skilled and might be worth the rank of an officer. And if you are an officer, I'm going to need to rely on your input. What you believe, not just what I do." Masaru explained to him calmly. "I'm not trying to look down on you. Understand? Also, don't let anger shroud your judgement, ever. I may not sound like it, but, believe it or not, I am trying to help you." He spoke again. He was working on changing his usual... 'attitude' towards people, since he was going to attempt to complete his mother's goal before she died, and being the usual cold 'Shinigami' didn't much help with that. He then glanced back at Chi. "Well, those Legion soldiers are a few moments away from perishing, unless they surprise me." |

| "Tell them to shut up. They're too loud." Chi said closing her eyes in pain. "My head still hurts too. What happened to make my head hurt? Why am Ibon your back?!" Chi said freaking out that she can' remember. |
| Masaru's sweat dropped slightly when she wanted the Legion soldiers to shut up in their situation. He sighed before speaking. "One of those bastards used their hypnosis on you. You probably have some mental trauma due to it." He explained. "You were unconscious, so I'm carrying you." He told her. |

| Tatsu calmed down. He realized that Masaru was trying to talk sense into him. He nodded. Maybe he was right. This wasn't the Military anymore, and thus, he shouldn't treat it like such. He looked at Masaru. "Maybe you're right. My apologies." He began to walk in the direction of the Legion Soldiers and Scarecrow. "I realize what I must do." |

| "Oh.. ok.. I guess..." She said then she looked up. "Do you think I can I walk on my own?" She asked. |
| "Mm." Masaru nodded slightly at his decision. "But one order I expect you to follow. Don't get yourself killed like a baka." He told him. "I'll return after I've dropped Chi off. You won't be able to find your way to the base on your own." He glanced back at Chi. "Do you think you can?" He asked Chi. "Still, you're probably disoriented, so you don't need to strain yourself." |

| Chi looked determined. "I can do this. I want to do this." She said not wanting to disappoint Masaru-sama even more. 'I'm already a disappointment enough. The least I can do is walk.' She thought but you read it on her face. |
| "Chi." Masaru told her, reading the look on her face. "I was sucked into his illusions as well. Sky had to carry me in that state back to base and to my room. I was so exhausted afterwards I didn't even get up. I went straight to sleep." He told her, but let her down anyway. "Don't think you're a disappointment or something." |

| Tatsu heard Masaru's order and nodded. He then began to walk towards the pinned down Legion Soldiers. His gloves were on, and he broke into a jog, then a sprint. As he picked up speed, he prepared himself mentally. This fight was going to be difficult. He wondered if he would be able to follow Masaru's order, to stay alive. As he closed in on the group, he had one goal. Keep everyone alive. His thoughts went back to Draven, the man he had failed to protect. This would not happen again, he swore. |

| "Yes, you should have. However, there are not many people your age that are as skillful as you. You just need to learn how to use your advantages. Though you are still a child, so I don't expect you to be some kind of tactical genius." Masaru told her, letting her lean on him. |

| "You're overexerting yourself Chi. Those illusions even tired me out." Masaru sighed and crouched down. "Just get on my back and I'll carry you." |

| She nodded and clung to his back. "Everything is spinning. I don't like it here everyone is being hurt because of me." Chi groaned being pulled back into the illusions. |
| "Just remember that what you're seeing isn't real." Masaru told her, standing up after she got on his back. "They get in your head and use your memories and fears against you." He explained as he walked, heading for the base. |

| "It has to be real!!!" She cried into his back. Her tears seeping through his clothes. "Nii-chan!! No! No! No! No!!" She yelled. Her eyes were glazed and she fisted his jacket. |
| Tatsu saw a Scarecrow closing in on Ray. He ran up behind Ray and leaped onto his shoulder, then pushed off of it, soaring in Scarecrow's direction. His fists were up, and he threw a hailstorm of punches in mid-corkscrew, hoping that even just one would land. |

| Scarecrow simply rotated to his side and awaited for Tatsu to fall, readying his scythe to attack him from behind. When he fell, Scarecrow simply swayed the scythe over his back in an atempt to slash him open. |

| "It's not real Chi. Trust me. He made me watch my mother burn several times when I confronted him." Masaru told Chi. He glanced back. "This is a test for him. Both his will and physical capabilities. He'll survive until I return." He assured her calmly. Seeing as the other supposed Deathwatch took the Scarecrow's attention off him, he took the chance and headed to hug the wall, aiming to continue his earlier strategy of suppressing the person who kept them pinned down. He seemed fast and agile enough to evade a slash like that, and also that close quarter weapons like Chris's shotgun would be a real asset here. |

| "What are we doing? Are you sure Tatsu-san will be ok?" She whispered to Masaru. She sneezed and covered her nose. Her cheeks were still flamed up. "Am I dying? Everything is blurry and hot." |
| Before Tatsu could faceplant, his parkour and martial arts training kicked in, and he landed on one arm, pushing off of it right before the scythe came slicing through. He landed on his feet, about 5 yards away from Scarecrow. He made split second eye contact with Ray, and he realized what Ray was attempting to do, ass the sound of Uzi fire continued. Tatsu was determined to keep Scarecrow distracted. He dug into his bag, and pulled out a military standardized adrenaline shot. He'd stocked up the last time he had visited his old company, but he was only down to two now. He injected himself with one, and raced forwards attempting to take Scarecrow down. |

| Scarecrow looked with a deadly gaze upon Tatsu's eyes. He had not time to deal with this stupid kid. He simply trapped the man in dreamland where he would fight eternaly against Scarecrow. In reality, he would stand still, unable to move since his mind was in the dreamland. "What did he thought he would be able to do? Punch me to death?" He asked rhetorically as he laughed off. He slowly walked toward the shotgun and picked it up, aiming it at Ray. "Now, now... What shall I do? You asked for a one-on-one fight... You'll have it. Drop your gun, kick it toward me. Else I will kill you and your other friends." He warned as he aimed his shotgun at Ray, ready to shoot at any of movements. |

| "He'll be fine. At the very most, Scarecrow will 'play' with them. It doesn't matter if he sounds serious, he's still a bloodlusting, arrogant, jackass. He won't kill anyone immediately." Masaru told her as they walked. "You're probably sick or exhausted. You're not dying." He continued walking through the sewers until the reached the base. "The fuck?" Ray looked back at Tatsu to see him frozen. When he looked back he saw Scarecrow with the shotgun. "And you're not going to if I do? What kinda bullshit is that? Basically you're gonna' try to fuck us over anyhow right?" He questioned. What good would throwing his sniper away if he would just use the shotgun anyway? |

| Scarecrow shrugged, then, almost immediatly, aimed the shotgun toward Tatsu. He shot him in the head one time in point blank range, destroying his head immediatly. It was only an illusion since he prefered to wait for the undead but, right now, they were in his world. He then aimed his shotgun toward Chris. "Next is him... Give me the sniper, and I will throw away my shotgun. We solve this with our fists, understand?" He questioned as he once again aimed at Ray, waiting to see any movements. He was growing impatient at Ray and he would not waste any more time. |
