So, upon hearing that Rumbel and Tadashi got C&D's... and Rumbel is the only subber that I know of that releases the Late Show.... I was wondering if there's any other subbers that do the Late Show as well?
I really like the little bits.... especially the Shadow Family.
It'll be great if you can help out! Thanks!

So far I haven't seen any. I'm seriously hoping either someone else picks it up or it gets licensed soon. I like Soul Eater enough to buy all the localized DVD's without a second thought.

Well, I live in NZ so the chances of Soul Eater getting here real quick are quite slim....

On a site note, one my my main disappointments is that official DVD's don't tend to put in the same effort as good fansubs, you know? For example, if they started putting in translations and karaoke (and with or w/o kana) for the OP's and ED's, then I would think that it won't be just me, the amount of people who will buy DVD's will go up quite nicely.

Otherwise, like you, I'm seriously hoping that someone picks up the Late Night show....

Random though - what if Rumbel continued to release the subs, but only an .ass file? then they can tell us which RAWs to go and download, and we can put it together ourselves! *wishful thinking*

Sorry to bother, but do you know of a good source for quality RAWs? And how one might attach an ASS file?

I'm with you on the lack of quality in DVD subs. It's not fun to read every word in that ugly, blocky yellow font that every DVD release from every company seems to love so much.

@Hitsuji_San: I'm sure with a little googling you'll find what you're looking for.

@mathcing_pants: yeah. They don't seem to use anything apart from white Arial, or yellow verdana. Mix and match. yeah. D:

Oh yes, that ugly font...could it kill them to put some vissually appealing fonts for once? Actually, they ask us to pay but let's be honest here. Fansubs tend to put far more effort into their subs translation and presentation than the official localization ever does. The only thing they have for them is the dub work, and it's quality is debatable.

Frankly, the only company who's dubs I've been genuinely impressed by is ADV. Of course, the quality of their DVD subs is pretty sketchy...as it is for EVERY company's DVD subs. Like, I'm ok with, using a Bleach example, "Rangiku-san" becoming "Miss Rangiku." But what's annoying is when, say, "taichou" becomes simply "Hitsugaya."

And let's not forget Asahina Mikuru somehow turning into a "future man" in the sub, despite being called "time traveler" in the dub...>=L

^ That's what we're hoping for.

My last resort is to watch the extra bits in Chinese subs or something... >_< My Chinese isn't that good.
My last last resort is to watch the extra bits RAW.
I mean, the Shadow family.. they're ownage... especially the mother.... D:
And we still haven't seen an improved version of the director swinging a Soul Scythe around... he broke the last one, remember?

AllHailExcalibur is subbing the Late Show versions of Soul Eater now.

They've released eps 29 and 30.

I would sub Late Show but there is never such a raw. Zero-Raws I have never seen release a Late Show because they want the early one because it's faster that way.

Isn't the Late Show like...hardly any different from the normal one? I'm pretty sure there's no extra stuff being shown, just some clips before the eyecatch I've heard.

Yousei is/has been releasing late-night RAWs of Soul Eater for awhile now. I'm hoping they continue on and release more of them. I get my fix from Nyaa Torrents

If you are looking for quality RAWs go to Zero if you want the daytime and Yousei if you want the late-night. I've been watching both for awhile now and have nothing to complain about either.

FYI - The difference has and will be blood and extra violence in some cases. Other than that there are no differences I can spot.

Quoting somebody else.

Late night version adds some sentences at the beginning, a skit in the middle and sometimes a random eye catch, a goofier preview, some random jokes at the end, and also the proposed art gallery where they have random Soul Eater fanart done by members of the cast and crew, some suprisingly good, but mostly just hilarious. While it doesn’t add anything to the actual plot itself, it would be nice to have these subbed, as some of the stuff is pretty hilarious. They made Patty’s giraffe, you know?

Also, slightly longer episode previews. I remember once the director was trying to do tamashii no kyoumei, swang Soul in Scythe form around, and broke him. Hahahah, that was hilarious.

That was the same thing I was under the impression of. I was actually pretty sure the whole 'late night show = more blood and violence' was a myth.

I always heard the only difference was the late night version had a bit more fanservice. However, I watched rumbels late night eps after watching AEN's subs and couldn't even tell the difference, aside from the fact that rumbel know how to speak english.

There's no change to the actual anime, but rather just extras and bonuses added onto the Late Show. The more fanservice thing doesn't happen also.

Zero Raws has released every late show of soul eater to date...in 1440x1080...

~~

But is AllHailExcalibur even still subbing Soul Eater? They haven't released in almost a month...

That was my concern that I posted on another thread. DX
I really hope they are though. Waaaaah~ They're like, or will be 10 episodes behind at this rate.

Honestly, I don't care how slow they go if they have intentions to finish the series.
