From the movies I seen (except for Howl's Moving Castle), there is a main female character, right? So why don't we discuss on who is the best out of all of them?

There are two divisions: Junior and Senior, so it can be fair for the younger characters in some of the movies.

I think one topic is enough.. No need to make 5 of them at the same time..

Errr, age groups? Dunno where to put them xD Well my fave movie heroine is Haru from The Cat Returns. I dunno why =P She just strikes me as funny >.< Other one? For me it's a tie between Chihiro and Kiki - Kiki ever so slightly tipping the scale to her side ^^

I'm not sure how to divide the heroines. O.o So I'll just say I think the all around best one is Nausicaa.

I like them all, but there are two young ladies that stand out more than any other.

I like Shizuku from Whisper of the Heart for the reason I already explained in the other thread. It's so easy to feel connected when she struggles with her book. I've never written a story but I have lots of ideas. I also like to play and compose music so I'm familiar with the problems one might face when trying to express their feelings by creating something, let it be a story, a poem or a song. And I too have sometimes troubles understanding other people's feelings so I guess I can be a little dense sometimes as she describes herself at some point in the movie.

But my all time favourite is Taeko from Only Yesteday. Young Taeko to be exact. I don't know why, but those flashback scenes really strike me when I see them because of her. She's an interesting character with personality and although she's a stubborn and spoiled kid, I don't find her the least bit annoying. If I ever get a daughter I wish she'd be like her lol.

I also like Kiki.

Hmmmmm. Hard question. I beleive that Nausicaa is probably the strongest. But, Chihiro is the most innocent. Kiki is the most adventerous. Sheeta is the most brave. It's such a hard thing to answer, acutely :/

From the ones I've seen:
Sophie from Howl's Moving Caslte I guess. I like how brave and strong-willed she is.
Naussicaa is a pretty cool character as well,so I guess she'd get second place after Sophie for me.
San from Princess M. really creeped me out though with her feralness.

The characters of Totoro and Spirited Away were ok,but they were kind of young and hard to relate with.

Haku from The Cat Returns was closer to my age,but she just wasn't a very interesting character to me for some reason. I don't know why.
