How did the Chimera Ant Queen get injured in the first place? Potentaial Spoilers

Does anyone else wonder about the origins of the Chimera Ant Queen herself?
We start off this arc with an injured Chimera Ant Queen and her existence is taken
for granted. I mean there's magical beasts so why not giant ants too? We know small Chimera Ants are already known to exist but where and when did the Ant Queen appear?
And just as importantly how did she get so injured? Is Kite's theory she was injured
AFTER landing ashore possible? Also she hints at having human in her? Is this so?

maybe they are very weak compared to the other creatures in the outside, so one of them escaped and ended up here

I think she's injured because she's carrying her son around, so it would be hard for her to perform any heavy action/attack against other magical beast/predators. I don't recall having extensive background info on the Queen in the manga because she really isn't all that important in the arc despite common belief, but we shall see if Madhouse has something to add on that.

It would be interesting if Ging was the one injuring her in order to force them into the island, in order to create a new challenge for his son
