If you enjoyed Death Note I would recommend Code Geass, so long your okay with mecha in it.
Also Guilty Crown.

Monster comes to mind....
Although it is quite long.
Other than that, since you've seen Mirai Nikki...
Higurashi is pretty good horror. (If you can get past the Moe elements)

Shinsekai Yori first few eps are establishing the setting plot. After that it gets real good

i have seen both code geass and guilty crown really liked them both

i did like the look of monster but its pretty long and higurashi has a good story but the moe puts me off

i watched durarara i did not like it not to big on samurai anime but rahXephon looks pretty good

Shinsekai Yori first few eps are establishing the setting plot. After that it gets real good

We have a high compatibility, and I think you'll like Baccano! and Zetsuen no Tempest. Also seconding Psycho-Pass. All 3 of these anime need a couple of episodes before they get really good as well. Check my list as well if you want more.

seen baccano only season one but thought it was great i like the look of zetsuen no tempest

Cyber City Oedo 808 reminds me of dead leaves so i'll check it out. ninja scroll is not my thing Mad Bull 34 looks pretty entertaining. Golgo 13: The Professional looks okay ill check it out seeing as its just a movie. afro samurai i have on hold. Highlander Search for Vengeance i have seen it
