| This manga/anime has some really unique characters and the universe is very cool reminds me a lot of early Dragon Ball. Something that's always kinda bothered me about the show is the lack of, at least attractive, female characters. This is coming from a guys perspective and I feel that the show lacks balance in the sense that there's too much bromance (Komatsu x Toriko) and lots of cool macho bad ass looking dudes but there's literally like no women. Yes there's a few bad ass old ladies but no sexy bad ass chicks like you see in some other Shonen. There's no Yoruichi, Tsunade, Erza, Nico Robin type characters in the series. I'm not saying that Toriko should have fan service for the sake of fan service, but some variety would be appreciated. I guess the author just doesn't know how to draw women. If that's the case he should get some pointers from Tite Kubo or Oda. Anyways what do you guys/gals think? |

| I would like to see some, now that I realize it, it's only what's her face. Coco would have been good as a female. But I won't complain it doesn't get more. |

| I don't think there aren't enough female characters, but I think Rin should always be with Komatsu and Toriko, and her crush on Toriko should be a little more subtle, simply because it's no fun when it's that direct. That alone would improve the series imo. |
| Yeah that's true I forgot about Tina. Rin should play more of a role as long as she isn't too annoying. I always thought it would have made more sense for Komatsu to have been a girl considering how his character acts. |

| It would be pretty cool to have some more women, but seeing women craving for food would seem pretty weird on the other hand xD |
