Hey there everyone. I am going to be reading manga more often and even buying them.. I already bought Claymore 1-4, Attack on Titan 1-2, and High School of The Dead 1-2... You can check out my manga pick up video on my youtube. Just looked for AnrikuZer0 on Youtube.

Anyway! I was wondering if you fine ladies and gentlemen could be so kind to give me some suggestions on which manga to get into and pick up... I would prefer the series to be out in America, so I can buy each volume... if it isn't, then I can read it online.

I would prefer it to be Shounen or Seinen... have a lot of action to mild action. I can also deal with comedy as long as it has action. I am also into mecha anime series and would love to try out a mecha manga series.

Also, I'm guessing rightstuf.com is the best place to buy online?

Thanks for all your help!

I'm rather loving Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic. It's a shounen too. No idea if you can buy it, but is online.

Just this once, I'll fulfill whatever your wish is.

I recommend my top 5, excluding Sundome.
I'm also filled with pure-hearted ulterior motives.

For a shounen series that's possible to buy, you can try out Darren Shan (Cirque Du Freak)

You seem to like action survival type series with some form of monster so:

Cage Of Eden
Deadman Wonderland
Ubel Blat
Hunter X Hunter
Berserk

I wish Magi was out in USA.. I would definitely buy it.. I am sooooo enjoying the Anime.. I'll probably read the manga online and then buy it once it comes out in USA. I plan on buying Hunter X Hunter, considering the 2011 version of the anime is one of my favorite anime of all time already...

I was checking out Cage of Eden, but it didn't seem to action-oriented.. like is their fighting and stuff or just those kids trying to survive on the island?

Aku no Hana (Flowers of Evil)... is there combat/action in it or is it like a thriller or something?

Definitely going to be getting Berserk.

Cirque Du Freak seems interesting.. is there fighting? :P Also, Deadman Wonderland anime was awesome.. most likely going to be picking up the manga!

Alpohorism and Ubel Blat don't seem to be out in USA.. or they aren't on rightstuf at least. :(

Triage X's art style looks really nice.. I might pick up the first volume. Also, is Vagabond any good? like... it's based off the real life samurai Musashi, right?... so is it like realistic or fictional?

Can't find Holyland, Vinland Saga, nor Tsukihime on rightstuf to see if I'd be interested in them.

Anyways, thanks for all the replies. I hope I covered everyone that replied...any manga I buy, I'll be doing pick-up videos on my youtube as well as first impressions and full manga series reviews once I finish a manga series. I also do anime episode and manga chapter reviews/thoughts/predictions if you would be interested please check out my channel. youtube.com/anrikuzer0

Feel free to keep the manga suggestions coming! Thank you!

second: berserk, holyland, vinland saga - you can find the last two at mangafox.me to read online or at mangatraders.com to download them.

Vagabond is a masterpiece especially if you re into samurai. The battles are a bit exaggerated but thats normal.

Also:

-Bokurano
-Shingeki no Kyojin
-Gantz
-Zetman
-XBlade
-Alive: Saishuu Shinkateki Shounen

I would like to buy these manga, but if I can't I'll check them out online... Vagabond seems very promising to me. Until Death Do Us Part... I'll check it out.

Zetman anime was alright.. I'll see if I can't buy the manga or not in USA...Oh yeah, Gantz.. got to see if I can get that. I'm sad that Tokyo Pop in NA is gone because their series are so expensive now.

There is no action in Aku no Hana. It is definitely suspenseful, but I wouldn't call it a thriller. It's a psychological slice of life drama, and I'm willing to say that it has a mild amount of horror. Not your typical horror, but something vague like, social horror. The manga is very awkward to read at times.
I'm also filled with pure-hearted ulterior motives.

Berserk, Vagabond, all of that are epic reads.

Then I would add some Wolf Guy, King of Hell, Tough has plenty of figthing but it's unrealistic.
If you go deeper into fight mangas you have Sun Ken Rock, all Baki the Grappler, City of Darkness if youre into super unrealistic fun figthing.

What else, with fists we have Hokuto no Ken, a all time classic. Boxe mangas like Hajime no Ippo and RRR are definiatly worth a read.

Ares is a great manga with plenty of swordfight if you don't mind the not so good art (didn't bother me the least).

Standart sword fight mangas include the obvious Rurouni Kenshin, Samurai Deeper Kyo and Blade of the Immortal.

If you like seinen that much than I second Gantz, add Shamo(a great manga about a guy who learns karate in jail, top notch art and figthing), Jackals(one of my favorites), Shigurui(like vagabond, but more intense and more realistic, not so good).

Afro Samurai also violent with lots of swordfight. Oh, and Battle Royale has tons of figthing, but it's a more psycologhical all in a island and need to kill eachother kinda way.

Hm...there are some other sites where you can buy online, I bought some stuff from akadot and they came fast and with ease. Amazon has lots of stuff too, and its pretty reliabel, not to mention you can buy used mangas for a VERY cheap price.
(i've seen stuff like 30 cent for a whole volume, so yeah)
