OK so, ive been getting my balls kicked all over the place by animes with really depressing stories/endings, im at the point where i need a REALLY high, slap-happy anime with a happy ending ending, with no grand cannon like gaps that make u want to rip ur hair out for not knowing what happens to them so on and so forth. Im not asking for much, just a really happy ending which I cant find for some weird reason. Im pretty sure we've all been at this point, just SOMEONE PLEASE SAVE ME FROM THIS GOD AWFUL PIT OF DEPRESSION!!!!!!!

Any genre as long as its good.

if you want some really happy anime might wanna try looking at the big shoujo titles (like kimi ni todoke) although I have not seen the anime for it the manga is pretty happy... however a few anime I have seen that I recommend are:

- Gosick (good, has a happy ending after a few questioning moments, the anime itself I wouldn't consider extremely heart warming but can be at times)
- Lamune (very nice, sweet little romance, definitely pretty happy)
-Mobile Suit Gundam Seed (won't get super happy until halfway through the first series I believe, definitely very happy by the second season)
- Suzuka (has its ups and downs, lots of drama, has a nice ending however)

I would also recommend you try reading Gakuen Babysitters, Hiyokoi, Love So Life. These series are so sweet you will probably get diabetes, especially gakuen babysitters.

i would second gosick, i didn't really expect much from it when i started watching it, but ended up loving it! first 3 episodes had me hooked haha

i would also say Zero no Tsukaima(romance/comedy/action/ecchi)
steins;gate(sci-fi/best thing ever)
maybe green green(slice of life/sci-fi/ecchi) - not sure if this is a spoiler, so just to be safe

all of these have very nice endings :)

Watch Baka to Test it's the best comedy anime I've ever seen but watch the dub version, the voice actors were cast perfectly! And another thing the anime is really light hearted and will actually make you laugh I mean legit drop to the floor funny! Another good thing is none of the characters are annoying. It can lift anyone off a depression spree(:

Steins;Gate has the most heartwarming ending I've ever seen. I walked around for the whole day having a massive smile on my face.
Higurashi - The anime is dark and definitely doesn't have a happy sense to it (although Keiichi is great comic relief) but the end of season two is the epitome of happy endings.
Gosick was nice too.
I'm also filled with pure-hearted ulterior motives.

Hoshi no Samidare, so much that some consider it to be too happy.

Well, Heartcatch Precure makes a noce pick-me-up, as would most mahou shoujo that don't have "Madoka" or "Tutu" in their name would, actually, but Heartcatch has some surprisingly good fight scenes amongst the fluff associated with that particular subgenre, and the series itself is well-executed so it is worth a shot.

Steins;Gate - watch the special, it ties up the story better.
Btooom - great story and the main characters end up together, but you will have to read the manga to know how the conflict is resolved. great story though
zetsuen no tempest
mirai nikki (future diary) pretty dark show but has a happy ending
Angel beats
Sword Art Online is ongoing, but the main characters are already together
