Coz Mahjong is pretty hard to understand fully unlike Chess!!!

Thats the reason I havent watched Akagi though Ive heard great things bout it!!

Im loving Gambling emperor Zero and Usogui Manga right now.

Im the one(under the name Dr.Shreeveera) who is Scanlating Usogui Manga as an Editor in EasyGoingScans team coz I love Gambling very much!!!

Try One Outs, its gambling with baseball. The style is similar to that of Akag, i think they had the same director. Its one of my favs.

Definitely read Liar Game (manga). One of the best high stake/strategic titles out there. All the games are made up by the writer, but most of them are pretty much just modified versions of common games to up the stakes.

There's a lot more psychological aspect than Kaiji imo.

This.

It's group psychology meets game theory in the form of an awesome manga. Must read for everyone interested in Gambling games.
I probably regret this post by now.

You don't really need to understand mahjong to like Akagi. I have no idea of the mechanics of it, but I LOVED Akagi.

Anyway - try out Yu-Gi-Oh! The entire series is based on high-stakes gambling within gaming.
