| i think that he may had been traumatized by the lines in is head or his dad could have hit him very hard in the head when he was young. maybe his mam (i don´t know anything about her) was also obsesed with simetry, who knows. |

| I think its because he is a perfectionist. Its obvious he wants the same respect as his father and due to his attempt to do everything perfectly, he probably saw symmetry as perfect too. |

It is due to this that the colour will return as the chemicals in the dye are rejected by the chemical. He brought this up when they went to the desert for the runaway train (I forgot its name >.< ). He admitted that this chemical his body produces will also prevent him being burned by the sun. |
