| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Bubbles really shown her brightest in this episode. The only thing I ever liked about her was that she was the loliest and moest of all the powerpuff girls. She was the girliest, and if you know me, that's massive downpoints in bubble's favor, and massive up point in the favor of buttercup. I don't like Bubble's girly behavior at all and adore Buttercup. But Bubbles as FANTASTIC taste in guys and a wonderful attitude toward dating. And here I had focused on Blossom for her constant interest in guys being wonderful, but Bubbles shown brilliantly in this episode. They're allowing Buttercup into the "tomboy = lesbian" stereotype and it really bugs me. Not insulting of this show, because it's sadly incredibly widespread. It's sad, if it's a tomboy character, they'll make them completely uninterested in guys or girls, or, if anything, interested in girls. A much better combination would be the tomboy maneater combination, a girl who is both a tomboy and a boy obsessed player or pervert. I certainly wasn't expecting this from Buttercup, but it would have been refreshing.:/ Give me Buttercup interested in a boy for once, please? Anyway, this way, needless to say, a spectacular episode. Just like last one. I could use plenty more like this. |

| I don't know when I'll reach the limit with watching the dub, but it almost was this episode :'( WHY DID THEY HAVE TO REMOVE "Flow" FROM THE BACKGROUND MUSIC AND REPLACE IT WITH SOME GENERIC NON-SENTIMENTAL ONE!! This pissed me off SO much. The dub is insanely watered down as is and now this?? I now understand people's biased hate towards dubs, but I was lucky to experience good dubs in my beginning stages of watching anime, so I won't be put off from them, but holy hell, comparing the original and the unreasonably sensitized dub in this one hurts :') As for the episode itself, it was so cute and touching! I hope to see more such episodes in the future. |
