| I just finished this season and it was shit, the lack of Saitama wasn't even the problem, it's the animation which is shit 90% of the time, and the direction and storyboard is equally as shit since they are just copy/pasting the manga panels in the most lazy way possible, and it even stopped following the manga a couple of episodes ago, and the weird-ass transitions in the soundtrack was bad too, I'm even complaining about the soundtrack usage here! What even happened here? how did OPM drop the ball this hard, this is something that I would expect from a random no-named Isekai, but not in OPM, the fuck? even S2 wasn't this shitty. And looking at the ratings, the people around here didn't like this season either. But what about the Japanese people, did they like this shitty season? are they complaining about it? |

Don't forget about Zombieman's fucking lollipop with that godawful censorship. That scene should have him looking cool as fuck smoking his cigarette, like having a smoke after sex, but it's the other way around here. With that fucking lollipop he looks like a 10-year-old kid who just failed fifth grade. |

Some below average, some above average, but most was just average. It was cheesy art that was actually the problem. And you're lying if you say there was no good animation because there absolutely was during multiple fights. People keep comparing it to season 1 instead of judging it solely on its own which is the entire point of rating seasons individually. If anything it just highlighted how lackluster the writing has always been, they're just not distracted by pretty images this time. Besides saying "watch more anime" so people can actually understand what bad animation is, there's not much else I can say. Why are you even comparing it to Season 1 when there is Season 2 which was done by the exact same studio and same producers as S3? Season 2 wasn't even bad, it was pretty good at best but then you have whatever this disco slideshow bs is. Yes, there most likely are anime which have worse animation but they aren't from such a big IP as OPM and they aren't done as weirdly so it doesn't strike people as much I guess. OPM S3 is such a massive disappointment, it's ridiculous that they would give almost no effort in making it "animated". In 12 episodes you probably have like 10-20 minutes or maybe a bit more than an episode in total of some kinda decent animation/movement, in an action packed anime.. They either cut as much movement/motion as possible or replace it with shitty speed lines or other crap. There is no impact to anything, it's just some bs on screen slapped on. It's inconsistent as hell and the transitions are whack as well. Then you have the everyone's favorite disco RGB lights paired with random censorship. You can barely call it animated at this point, more like a coloured motion manga but worse. I've seen Berserk 2016 both seasons and it's probably one of the most atrocious animations from all the anime I have watched but even then it was somehow more enjoyable than OPM S3. |

| OPM Season 3 was a huge success on streaming in both Japan and worldwide. Rankings for the final episode on release days were: Amazon Prime Japan, the episode ranked #1 Hulu JP, the ep ranked #1 Netflix JP, #4 And on global scale, it was heavily watched, as expected from a massively mainstream anime. It's still being heavily watched in Japan and overseas. So, the show got people hooked from first to last episode and it's safe to say the production committee got everything and maybe even more than they asked for. |
