Do we have enough material for a hypothetical second season? Because I saw that the Nukitashi 1 and 2 VN are available on Steam.

Fundamentally, Nukitashi is a visual novel with branching plot BUT has a "true" route. From what I remember after watching the show, it seemed to take Nanase as the canon heroine, while essentially tackling themes that usually only appear in the true route of the game (which is Fumino's route).

Is there enough to make a second season ? There are two situations where it could be possible:

1) They take the same route as the second game and make it a spin-off in another dimansion (yes, the second game is pretty wild).

2) They expand on what they built in the first season and follow up on it to move towards the climax that the first game had... but given the liberties and shortcuts they used, they might need to do some flashbacks to introduce missing parts/change the order of certain events. But note that as the central theme of the true route and its resolution is strongly linked to Fumino's relationship with her family, the adaptation might have revealed too much already to make a compelling sequel.

But I doubt they will make a sequel, as this is borderline impossible to air on television anyway, so I have no idea how good of an advertisement it was for the source material.

@berzerke53 in fact I imagine that the second season will never come out, but I was just curious, thanks for telling me, so if I wanted to play the VN do I have to play both 1 and 2 even if I saw the anime right?
