| Hi, I'm re-introducing myself here after being pretty inactive for a while. How is everyone doing? What shows have you guys been into recently? I'm looking to make some friends on MAL to talk about anything! I love watching anime, reading, studying languages, animals, video games, etc... These days I have finally gotten around to watching Demon Slayer (I finished s1 a few hours ago, actually) and honestly I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would! The last episode was a great way to end it and it made me super excited for what's to come. Besides that, I have been reading the Iliad as part of a book club I created. We have our first meeting on Sunday and I'm super nervous lol. Well, that's all I have for a brief conversation but am always down to share more if anyone is interested. Thank you for reading and have a great evening! |

| Welcome to MyAnimeList! Enjoy your stay :) How is everyone doing? What shows have you guys been into recently? I'm doing good, thank you. I've been into romance a lot and next year will be great for a lot of sequels, so I'm looking forward to Angel Next Door S2 the most. Which sequels are you looking forward to next year? |

| @RaiYou Awesome! Thanks for responding :D I haven't seen Angel Next Door, what's it about? I'm very excited for Delicious in Dungeon S2, Ramen Akaneko S2, Skip and Loafer S2! Have you seen any of them? Another one I'm excited for is Witch Hat Atelier which was originally planned for this year, but it got delayed until 2026. It will be an amazing year for anime so I'm very excited! |

| @petvma You can read the synopsis, it's a simple sweet romance that gives you nothing but full of "diabetes" - and it's a good show to watch and relax especially when you don't like BS love-triangle, cheap drama or heavy fanservice. I don't know if you like romance though! I'm very excited for Delicious in Dungeon S2, Ramen Akaneko S2, Skip and Loafer S2! Have you seen any of them? I haven't seen them either. π |

| Hello! Nice to meet you. I've also been looking for more people to talk about anime with. I'm currently going through and watching all of Kyoto Animation's entire catalogue from the beginning (I've seen a good bit of their shows already though). I'm currently watching Kanon, it's good so far. Other than that I'm watching a few seasonals but much more excited for next season! |

That's super cool, is there any Kyoto Animation series you would recommend me? I'm not sure if I've seen any, and I think it would be cool to try it! I looked at your profile and I think your taste is really cool! Especially Jojo's and HxH. Which animes are you the most excited for next season? :D |

| @petvma Depends on your taste, all of my favorite Kyoto Animation animes don't include any action and I know some people don't enjoy that. Either way Sound! Euphonium and Haruhi Suzumiya are fantastic, and I think everyone should at least give them a shot. Thanks though, JoJo's is awesome I can't wait for Steel Ball Run. I woke up at 5 am for the JoJo Day event when they revealed it, it was so worth it. And HxH will forever be one of my favorite battle shonen, it's so well written and I absolutely love the power system. I'm working on a D&D campaign in the HxH world. Next season, I am most looking forward to Oshi No Ko season 3, mainly because it's my favorite manga. But other than that, Hells Paradise manga was great so I am excited for season 2. Frieren and JJK will also be really good I bet. What about you!? |

| @RaiYou I think I'll give it a shot! I'm somewhat new to the romance genre so this could be a good way to open a new door. I definitely recommend Delicious in Dungeon! It's a very relaxing show and although they eat monsters, each episode will still leave you hungry hahaha. On another note, you might like Skip and Loafer because it's a slice of life romance! It's a chill show that even I, as someone who's not too well versed in the romance genre, loved. And it's only 12 episodes so you can knock it out in a weekend! |

| @carsonxl I'll look into them! I just finished Demon Slayer S1 yesterday, so I'm in need of a new series, and I have heard many good things about Kyoto Animation as a studio over the years. I went to their website and was surprised to see so many works, it seems like you have a long journey ahead of you! That's cool! I didn't watch the Jojo's event last time but I remember being at the beach in 2021 when they announced the Stone Ocean anime, it was so hype. I really hope that they don't do the same release schedule though. Imagine they bring back Jojo Fridays for Steel Ball Run, the series would enter a new stage of popularity. I've actually been reading the Jojo manga for the first time (I just finished part 1) and it's been pretty fun to refresh my knowledge on the earlier parts. I'm planning to make my way up to part 7 before the anime is released! I have heard some talk about Oshi No Ko, it's an idol anime right? What do you like about it? Do you think it's a worthy introduction to the genre? I've never seen an idol anime, lol. JJK will be great, I hope! I had fun with season 2 and the movie releases tomorrow! Although I have no plans to see it yet (probably will wait for it to be on streaming). Hells Paradise and Frieren I haven't seen yet, but I know I probably should. Thanks for writing to me, Carson! |

| @petvma Kyoto Animation is awesome, every anime I've seen from them has had so much love put into it that I decided I wanted to watch them all. I also do better with things when I have a goal, so telling myself I am going to watch all of them makes it easier for me to actually do it. Enjoy Demon Slayer! I remember watching the first season when it came out, and loving the characters. Honestly nowadays I see it as just a fun anime, with amazing animation and bad ass fights. I wish I was there for Stone Ocean announcement. I got into JoJo's when Stone Ocean had already released the first batch, but I was caught up in time for batch 2 and 3. I REALLY hope that they change the release schedule back to weekly. I watch a lot of seasonals and very much enjoy watching anime weekly. It gives me more time to enjoy the anime I love, and everyone discusses it on social media each week. Something JoJo never got for Stone Ocean. I hope you enjoy reading the manga as well! I didn't read through parts 1-6, I just started off at SBR. I have read parts 7, 8 and caught up on 9 as well though. In my opinion Araki has taken the series to even greater heights, and I can't wait to see how part 9 ends. Oshi No Ko is technically an idol anime, but the idol bits are not exactly why I love it. ONK dives deep into the dark parts of the Idol industry in Japan, and the manga especially tries to explain how everything works, good and bad. The supernatural elements of the story keep it fresh and entertaining, and I love the cast of characters. Not to mention, Mengo Yokoyari, the artist for the manga has my favorite artwork of any mangaka. The first volume, and subsequently the first episode of the series (it adapts the entire first volume) is very different than the rest of the anime/manga. So if you do watch it, make sure to watch at least 3 episodes before you decide to drop it or not. I am probably going to wait to stream the JJK movie as well. I don't have anyone to watch it with at university, and I don't really like going to the theaters alone lol. Hell's Paradise is awesome, check it out! Frieren is great too, I think it's a little over-hyped (don't cook me) but still worth watching. Definitely some of the best fantasy I've seen in anime that isn't isekai, which is something we need more of. Thanks for the discussion! | @Serafos Hi Serafos, thank you for writing to me! I had a great day today, but was super tired. I still am, so I'll probably get to bed within the hour. I have heard of Watashi wo Tabetai! But I haven't watched it :( What do you like about it? Is it quality enough to recommend? What older shows have you been rewatching? Right now I'm also keeping up with only 2 seasonal shows: Sanda and Campfire Cooking in Another World S2. I like keeping the amount of seasonals I watch relatively low so I can binge some of the older/more popular shows throughout the week. Today I started Hibike! Euphonium S1 and am enjoying it :D How was your day today??? |

| @petvma A few of my favorites slice of life shows: Himouto! Umaru-chan, Non Non Biyori, Flying Witch, Restaurant to Another World, Is the Order a Rabbit?, Asteroid in Love, The Demon Girl Next Door, Ms. Vampire who lives in my neighborhood. Hope the list is not too long, haha. Some of them are not tagged 'slice of life' but only 'cgdct', which I personally consider a subcategory of slice of life. I remember almost picking up the manga Way of the Househusband a couple of years back, looks fun, I've seen a few pages of it. I heard about Natsume Yuujinchou but didn't get to it yet. I didn't know about the other one. All three look pretty neat in any case :) |

I'm also watching Campfire Cooking in Another World S2. I think the new season has been as good as the first one. :)

How was your day today???
Well, it's 6.03 a.m in Finland at the moment, so I just woke up and fed my cats. Gonna play some video games next (Turtle WoW and Diablo II). Later in the afternoon I'll meet my friends and have some fun with them.
Do you have any plans for the weekend? :) Anyway, have a nice day, buddy!
| @Serafos Good morning! I hope all is well! Happy Friday :D Serafos said: I'm a huge fan of yokai-themed anime, like Natsume Yuujinchou, Mokke, Fukigen na Mononokean, etc. Watashi wo Tabetai, Hitodenashi also falls into this category. I find the story quite entertaining. Give it a try if you like yokai, mysteries and some dark stuff. It has some quite depressing and sad moments. It definitely sounds like it would be up my alley, then! I'll put it in my 'To Be Watched' list at the top, so maybe I can be caught up when the last couple of episodes air. Yokai anime are super interesting to me, but I've never heard of Mokke. I'll have to research it later to also potentially add it to my list! Serafos said: Well, the last 16 shows were these: I haven't heard of a single one of those shows π HAHAHA I'm not as much of an anime fan as I thought! Out of those 16, which has been your favorite? Least favorite? Serafos said: Well, it's 6.03 a.m in Finland at the moment, so I just woke up and fed my cats. Gonna play some video games next (Turtle WoW and Diablo II). Here, it's snowing for the first time this season so I'm excited! I'm just going to be teaching from home today, and then try and squeeze some exercise in when I get the chance. Serafos said: Do you have any plans for the weekend? :) On Saturday I plan to go to the Christmas market that recently opened in my city with my bf, and then at night we will go to the zoo to see all of the Christmas lights! On Sunday, I will have my first book club meeting (I'm super nervous!) and then spend the rest of the day doing chores and watching anime. Serafos said: Anyway, have a nice day, buddy! A few of my favorites slice of life shows: Himouto!
All three look pretty neat in any case :)

It's SoL with yokai, and has an episodic format (so it's harder to binge but nice to have as a background to your life for a couple months). Also, it's got 7 seasons and a few specials, so you have plenty of time to connect with all the characters (and there are A LOT). I plan to read the manga when I get the chance :) How is your day going? |

Hmm, I guess Mahou Tsukai Pretty Cure! is my favorite and Bermuda Triangle: Colorful Pastrale is probably the least favorite, but still a 8/10 show in my book. :) petvma said: On Saturday I plan to go to the Christmas market that recently opened in my city with my bf, and then at night we will go to the zoo to see all of the Christmas lights! | Welcome π Hope reconnecting with the community makes your anime journey more enjoyable π Nice to see someone else showing some love for Ramen Akaneko. For more cat related anime I recommend The Masterful Cat is Depressed Again Today & My Roommate is a Cat (that one is more emotional though). And since you liked Skip & Loafer, maybe check out Insomniacs After School. Oshi no Ko is “kind of” an idol anime, but more of a mystery that explores the dark side of being a celebrity (similar to the anime movie Perfect Blue). The JJK Execution “movie” is actually just an abbreviated recap of last season’s Shibuya Incident arc & the first 2 eps of the upcoming Culling Game arc. I went ahead & saw it last night, even though I was aware. It was alright, but didn’t hype me up the way the theatrical early premiere of Dandadan season 2 (Evil Eye) did when I saw it. |

| @petvma Yes, Flying Witch is generally recommended and appreciated by people who love slice of life shows :) The way I see it, CGDCT shows are essentially slice of life shows with an all-female cast, yep haha. (and pretty often focusing on one activity that the girls are doing like 'Asteroid in Love' with girls loving sciences and doing activities related to it, or it's the setting that is important like with 'Non Non Biyori' story happening in the countryside or 'Is the Order a Rabbit?' being set in a Café) Nice to know about Nastume Yuujinchou, thanks for all the info! My day is going well, I hope your is too :) |
