I was reading the manga and I found it very interesting, I didn't understand why no one was talking about it and I found out the reason, studio pierrot ruined any chance for this title to become mainstream and therefore it will remain a niche title... a real shame because it deserved more popularity

I haven’t read the manga and as far as I know the anime eventually takes its own path and diverges from the manga. But honestly I was satisfied with the anime, maybe they could’ve worked a bit more on the character development but it was still good in my opinion.

At least it didn’t end up being a mess like Tokyo Ghoul.

I know I read couple chapters of the manga it’s way different than the anime the studio literally did a 180 to the series the manga introduced way more characters and backstories. If the studio followed the manga did a split cour like 24 episodes for each cour. This anime would’ve done way better bc I don’t see anyone taking about the anime.

*Blame the studio* for anything happening in an anime.

To be fair when the anime was airing the manga was still publishing monthly and there was not enough material for Pierrot to adapt that’s why they took the filler route. But with the manga already finished and having read it, the manga storyline is way more interesting and richer with lots of backstories, lore and various characters. I just hope that there is enough interest so that Studio Pierrot or any other studio can reboot it and follow the canon storyline like what Studio Bones did with Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood

yeah, the manga is so good but Pierrot butchered the anime.

I’ve read it too and it is a big shame, I honestly enjoyed the anime when I first watched it but I watched before reading. I still enjoy the anime for what it is, but it’s nowhere near as interesting as the manga story. Honestly just should not have been green-lit for an adaptation at the time it was considering how little material there was. That’s why you have the product from Pierrot that exists today instead of a full adaptation

i think the anime was very enjoyable, didn’t read the manga though. But the ending could have been better.

@YamiLoon If you read the manga, you will see it as a Tokyo Ghoul-style mess... the anime does not have a shred of what the manga tells and I find this its biggest flaw besides the fact that as you can see this anime has not achieved the global success to make the title famous

@animedude1287 The fact that at a certain point it takes a direction of its own making everything worse... as you can see the anime also made a mess in not being able to make this title a global success

@Ansur19 Lol exactly, no one talks about this anime, which is very unknown to most of the public

@Flick_on It's certainly not the manga's fault or mine...

@Ricegod1979 Unfortunately I think there are few chances... now this ship seems to have sailed and we are left with a poor anime

@_Nion_ If you read the manga you'll understand how awful the anime is and why it deserved better...
