no because i cherish things that i have and also if something happens to go broken by accident, i get upset about it cus i get attached to my fav things lol, many of my classmates usually break their iPhone on purpose so they can beg their parent for the latest one which i find pretty dumb honestly and also why parents are so dumb that they actually buy new one for them?

There’s something undeniably satisfying about the idea of a beloved item meeting a dramatic end, just so you can justify upgrading to something even more legendary. Like my lebron witness 7 sneakers mysteriously “falling apart” right as the orange colorway of lebron witness 9 edition drop hits the stores. Or my laptop “accidentally” catching a splash of coffee when the new model boasts a AI-controlled cooling fans.

I remember that being done back in the day, but nowadays you can just give in ur iphone to get the new one at a cheaper price ,so why break it? Majority of it is the same thing every year as well ,so idk

I've never intentionally destroyed anything that was in working order. But I have blown apart dead monitors and laptops with a shotgun after salvaging usable parts from them.

Nope. If I could undo the saltwater damage to my Pixel 4a's motherboard (The only reason I'm planning on replacing it instead of repairing), then I'd do that instead of upgrading it. The laptop I'm using is basically perfect for my usecase, in spite of using Intel's final dual core i5 (The Intel Core i5-7300U).

One time yes when I was a kid, I had a model train set that I wanted to upgrade to a better version. I never broke it though. Despite how tempting it was. XD

No, that would be dumb, just buy a new one and sell the old one, or keep it as a back-up.
