Skip this part if you do not want the context on which I have wrote this:

This show felt so relatable and close to home... In my class 8th I took part in dance event which was the sub part of a theatre act conducted by our school at an ancient fort in Varanasi, India...
Background Of Fort: Before the performance by the students, the last performance happened 200 years ago, and it was a cliffy area with not so properly build borders, so kids were not allowed
I took part only because of certification to improve my portfolio but between our practice sometimes we would be allowed to watch the pre performance and fell in love with the way the students expressed their emotions and decided than I want to be part of that crew... That year the youngest student in the group was of Class 10th and two years later (which is 2024) I worked up hard improving my speaking skills taking part in any and every school event I could find related to speaking (mind you I was an introvert, and therefore sent to hostel to improve my social skills in class 8th and I had no desire to do so) I performed in 4, 1+ hour performance learning 1 to 10 minutes of scripts and acting the background scenes rest of the time, in class 10th and 1, 50 minute long theatre in class 11th before shifting away, that is another matter, A week before the performance we would curate the background scenes and practiced from the start of school hours to 3AM in the morning and if we were not permitted to than after school to 3AM or longer... This was one of my favorite things I ever got into and during the 3rd play I was heavily applauded for my suicide scene because among the side cast, (the main cast consisted of the old students or the students who had been in the speaking department for years) I was the most active and after that I also got a chance to go to two events simultaneously one week after other for competitions... I lost both of them but august became the best month and I didn't attend any classes that month... Due to this I also got into radio play, debates, youth parliaments, script writing, poetry, visual art, directing and leading because most class 10th dropped out of theatre due to boards and I worked hard throughout class 10th and became the theatre in charge, wrote an hour plus script on which 15 to 30 students performing, younger and older from seeking advice and asking the correct way to speak certain lines, I told them what emotions I wrote the lines in then asked how did they originally speak it and how would they speak it with the added tone and would just ask them to lower or higher their pitch or tricks to better show their emotions because emotions is better portrayed when original and done with all of you heart put into it, seeking the attention of the entire crowd, to make them drop all their thoughts and look upon you, it is an art that requires lot of love and patience and the desire to always be better... SO, most people would feel that the show portrays reading in too serious of a tone that sucks the fun out of it, the major part that makes it interesting is how a theatre or play actor or an orator comes up with ways to grab the attention of the audience... I relate with Hina because I was first inapt with enjoying it or being satisfied with it myself but when you look at other people speaking you grow the desire to became better than them or at the least get up with them... It is also a desire to impress your competitors as you have impressed them and the only times I got satisfied with my performance was when the seniors were left awestruck and most of my friends who saw me practicing at night at least took part in one or two theatres because of their fascination... I watched the show in English and thought that the voice acting could have been better for the students who supposedly won nationals or were at least selected, but character like An, were a lot relatable, because there are juniors who speak much better than I do, works hard but do not take any of the credit due because they feel they did it because i held their hand when all I did was tell them the emotions of the lines and you could have asked anyone else and they experienced and they would have advised you the same or better so it is in reason that I would be angry if you use me as a excuse for sucking the next time, because I believe that one can be excellent after guided and not known the intent of the lines, but not seeking advice from someone else but still doing it seems a bit unreasonable, touga's need to perfect each and every scene till the last day was hard hitting because our school director would change a person's 3 page long script with another one because he came up with a better idea and because he trusted us... in this form the other characters also memorize the leads line so if the person stutter (in a dramatic way that did not ruin the flow but puts a signal with a face of frustration that shows interior conflict of a character repeating the previous lines last words, inciting that they do not remember their lines and the later should fill up for them) This shows depict monologue, solo theatre and radio play, voice drama without much body movement...

After skipping come here:

Flower and asura has that charm that most other anime forgets and that treats theatre as a simple plain old script based played.... the lead characters internal struggle to just be contempt with oneself or challenge oneself to improve like the rest of the cast is the first stage that most students in this feel pass through which is depicted in a very realistic way, An changing her courses to win awards is also realistic because when you keep seeing others around you with medals, trophies and awards, as a perfectionist you'd be feel that you are not perfect enough because others who did not try as hard as you grab that award because they had inapt talent, so when you change courses you'd actually be satisfied because you feel equal to them, because you have something to show for your hard work... Most will still argue that what if I want to treat it as a hobby, that's okay because everyone has different interests and I as a person with multi-interest ranging from painting to dance to theatre to writing to makeup to academic achievements, can say that most show portray achieving a goal would later make you feel empty because you now have nothing mor to strive towards, but it's not that it is more in the category of excelling in what you do while managing your life, most of the seniors who worked hard till 3 AM have settled out got into esteemed colleges, getting a better rank because of their portfolio of theatre, because jobs also seek multi-talented people because there are over 10000, 99percent scorer but out of that only 10 to 50 would be skilled in sports and oratory because realistically all of us want a high paying job, unless you don't. So, seeing the show properly represent theatre kids' community was a treat... because this is a long-term memory that also guides us how to behave in different situations, we learn to better control our feelings, trick other into believing or sweet little lies and learn to avoid problems easily, so I will read this manga and hope this shows these aspects of theatre, monologue or voice acting in it... This show is 100 percent relatable FOR A PARTICULAR AUDIENCE...

what most people do not get to see is competing against your club mate because most sports or club anime work as team each of them advancing forward or losing to someone else the show that tackled it the closest is hanebado!!

Illiterate schizophrenics?

How can someone be "contempt" with oneself??

And this is the best value version of hibike euphonium/the hibike euphonium we have at home. From what I was able to decipher, that show actually hits all of those "unique" points you were talking about better than this one, and is overall better written.

And being content with oneself means being satisfied with what you have without limiting your development of skills
