From what I understand at the end, the story seems to have been concluded this season, why would there be a third season?

Synduality is a MultiMedia project, if there were a continuation I doubt it'll be an anime. The manga is at the same time and from someone else's perspective, the game is a prequel and I'm not sure about the Light Novel. There is the possibility that the LN is a sequel.
