Vampire Lore - Are All Vampires Born Male?

Hi hi! So I've read the manga to completion, and there's something I wanna figure out!

Are all vampires male? They talk a lot about all vampires having a destined woman, and it sure seems like they're probably all male, but then wouldn't all Vampires have to be Dhampires, since they'd be having kids with their destined women, who are all humans?

Obviously the Destined Partners can be turned into vampires, is that the difference? Whether the woman was turned before or after the pregnancy?

If anyone who's paid better attention has the answers, I'd appreciate your thoughts!

As someone who has also watched the anime and read the manga to completion, I never saw any indication that vampires are a male-only species, the Mito lookalike vampire who tricked Ruka was female, so I think it's safe to assume there are female vampires as well, but since it's a shoujo the male vamps are the main focus.
