Trying to find this anime i remember very vaguely

in this anime i remember it was post apocalyptic, but not with zombies or anything, the world just simply loss its technology, i think i remember the characters building very primitive houses, and the biggest plot point i vaguely remember is that there was this evil place, where people were promised something good if they rode a train to it, but its revealed the people in the train were shredded down and used as fertilizer, i dont know the title, i may be confusing multiple animes, but if im not please help me find it.

and.. man i really dont know if this was just a weird dream or an actual anime, but i think there was also a little time travel in it, not very sure tho.
