I've seen people say it was aimed at little girls, but MyAnimeList says it's for tween girls PG-13

Hardly any fighting
No cursing
Talks about love which is something tweens tend to think about around this point in time
Romance (duh)
Typical protag not professing their love which is something people actually do irl as a tween/teen (idk man I've seen this a lot)

While anybody can certainly enjoy this (and as an adult, I definitely do), I would agree that the target demographic is around 11-13 due to:
- Fights that are cool to watch, although not especially violent
- Romance, romance, and more romance for Ichigo and Aoyama
- All of the supporting male characters were designed to be particularly hot (lol)
- Cute costumes and animal theming
- No very heavy topics (sure, there’s an environmental message here, but it’s presented in a way that’s easy for people of all ages to comprehend)

» Are there any magical girl anime besides Sailor Moon that focuses more on school life than Mew Mew?
