I'm telling you don't waste your time, who would watch a full flashback in a season? If that's the premise at least don't start with the real plot (summoning someone to your body).

it started good but became bad because of the FLASHBACK! as for me I don't want to know the before i want the after, flashback is important but it didn't have to be a whole season?? like just start the story to that if that's what they want. but still it's pretty bad.

The way they set it up wasn’t exactly my favorite either, but the flashback is extremely important. It gives a lot of meaning to the way characters act. Without the flashback this series would make literally no sense.

It can be slightly confusing but if you follow and understand it then it’s pretty good, the series slowly unfolds and mysteries are solved as time goes on so it’s not just some information dump.
However, the series doesn’t cover everything in the novel, so some things are missing from the story. Ig it could cause more confusion bc of the plot holes

Overall, the series does a pretty good job explaining things, to me

Read the novel the flashbacks are important but in series really bad cuz the y took the romance part

This is my favorite show ever, don't listen to other people's opinions and see for yourself. Flashbacks are my favorite part in most anime I love seeing the characters pasts
