| People who know the circumstances of the manga's cancelation and what happened to the author afterward, know that she had financial problems and asked fans for help many times. But it seems that the situation has finally changed for the better. Thanks to Youtuber Yiman her case was publicized and she launched a fundraiser that raised over 800,000 yen. In one of her recent tweets, she mentioned that she will keep the raised money and return to work on Somali after her current manga ends. |
| @Soleks100000 Any updates on this? I remember I loved the anime and really wanted to check out the manga to see where the story went, but then it killed me when I found out what she went through and how she had to cancel the manga |

| @Alkimia From what I remember, Ms. Yako Gureishi declared that the manga will return, but did not specify the date. She came out of the financial hole, found a new publisher and she is doing well, but currently she is working on a different title. If she reported anything about Somali, I missed it. |
